“Huh?” I turned my gaze to my phone, buzzing and moving to the side in a slight tilt manner. I watched it, confused. Who would actually... Text me at this hour? I thought to myself, questioning my own mind until I shake my head and snatch it before it falls down to the floor. I opened my phone, and what greeted me in my own lock screen made me gaze at it in curiosity.

[Nickname], a user named ‘Junior Detective’...

Huh. A junior detective? How... Vague.

I blinked a few times, then unlocked my phone and touched the notification towards the whole email thing. And this greeted me by surprise...

I'm [Your full name], a 22 year old girl that has a rather traumatizing case that maybe you can settle with.

If you have heard the news, I'm one of the survivors of the murder massacre–that only a few portion like me survived without any fatal wounds. I myself have the memory clear as day, and the trauma is also a bit... Evident.

I personally wanted to speak with you about this issue myself, as I am rather in needs of help to capture the killer–the one who started the massacre.

I would appreciate it if you'd agree, but if not its fine. I know you must be busy, so you can either postpone my own case or just ignore it.

Ah, hello! And I did took note of you in the news; one of the survivors of the massacre, huh? I see....

I'm willing to take your case, though if possible may we meet in the office? I need to gather some information on the case before fully accepting it. Don't worry, it won't cause you to pay, but if the stakes are high then it would be most likely for you to do so.

And a traumatizing case wouldn't be much of a bother to me, actually. If anything, I'd be willing to know more information on the case itself.

I felt like my heart almost stopped beating after reading the whole response that the anonymous detective did. I mean... Wow, I'm glad he was willing to partake on the case but... The junior detective, a nickname that I swear I found myself familiar with. I'm not certain as to why, but I must've heard of it from before.
