TEST

"AN ANGEL?!"

At this moment everybody in the room exclaimed, but the angel wasn't so surprised with their reaction, his gaze roamed around the people in the hall before nodding his head.

"I welcome you all. You may be quite confused as to why I brought you here, am I right?" Said the angel, but everybody was still stunned in their place which is why nobody answered.

*CLAP...CLAP*
when we heard the sound of clapping, we all came back to our senses. When the angel saw this he nodded once again and he said, "My name Gabriel, I am an angel sent by God to test you. If you want to ask any question you might as well ask now".

After a few moments, a girl in the group beside us raised her hand.
When the angel saw this he gave a light smile and asked," What is it?".

When the girl beside us saw this, she immediately said,"why us? I mean there are 30 of us in here, how did you choose us, when our world was so vast that their were atleast billions of people, how did you choose us?".

When I heard her question, I also began wondering how they chose us but had a wild guess on my mind. After a few moments I noticed the angel smile, and after which he asked once again,"what do you think the 30 of you have in common?".

When the girl heard this, she became quiet and had a look of contemplation on her face, but after a few munites she still had no answer and gave up thinking about it.

When everybody was quiet thinking about the answer, I finally spoke out,"We were all unsatisfied with out lives".

When the others heard this, they were all surprised and began looking around the place, looking at the other groups.

When the angel heard my answer, he smiled and said,"you're right, everyone in this room had things other people wanted, wealth, family, friends,education, and many more. All 30 of you has this things, but still none among you all were satisfied with them. You  all felt empty as if you were missing something. But now I can help you all find that something you are missing".

When we heard this, we were all quite surprised, before questioning our self,"what is it that we are missing?".

At this moment, the angel questioned us once again, "anymore questions?".

After hearing this, the hall became quiet once again, but after a few moments, someone spoke up once again, this guy was from the same group as the girl who spoke up awhile ago.

"You said that we are here to be tested? What kind of test is it exactly?" Surely when everybody heard this, they became interested and wanted to hear the angel's answer.

After a few moments, the angel finally answered,"I can tell you what test it is, but before that I want to ask you all... Are you sure you want to do this test? I have to warn you that you will have to experience unbearable pain, etc". After explaining for a bit he asked again"Now I shall ask again... Anybody who doesn't want to undergo our test, you can step forward now  I will bring you back to your place, but you will forget everything that has happened here, and that you met any of us".

Surprisingly nobody stepped forwars, and when the angel saw this, he nodded his head and said,"Since you have all decided, I shall bring you to the place where the first test will be taken".

And just as the sound of his voice faded, light began shining below us again, after a few moments, we were finally able to see clearly, when we saw where we were, we were all quite surprised.

We were floating all standing in a circle, our surroundings were all black, it was as if we were in space, but everything was just black. Strangely,even if our surroundings were like this, we could still see each other.

We all waited for a few moments, when suddenly the voice of the angel resounded out of nowhere.

"The first test will be examining your tolerance. Your body will be put in pain, the pain you feel will increase the longer you endure. If you can no longer endure, then you should just say the words, I GIVE UP. The Pain will then disappear, I will give you five minutes to get ready, once the test begin, you will all be brought to a different space where you won't be able to see others".

After a few moments, the others began doing breathing exercises and other things, the others would talk among their selves, to reduce their nervousness. After 5 minutes have passed, the voice of the angel appeared once again.

"The test will now begin, everybody choose one platform and sit down on it", just as the voice of the angel faded, small platforms began appearing in front of us, they were square in shape, and they were At least a square meter in in size.
One by one we each chose a platform and did as the angel said and sat down.

Just when the last person sat down, we heard the voice of the angel once again," You will all undergo unbearable pain, you will have to hold on for 2 days of time, but you can give up anytime you want, once you give up, you will be returned to the white hall we all gathered at awhile ago. If you are able to endure for 2 days, you will be considered as passed and will move on to the next test, you will experience the pain in 2 minutes time, take this time to adjust your breathing and relax, I wish you all Good Luck".

Just as the sound of his voice faded, we were no longer able to see each other. I took this time to relax myself, and surely just as the angel had said, I was able to feel pain coursing through my body, it was really painful, but I was still able to endure it. The pain continued for an unknown time, and just when I remembered that the pain increases every time, I felt a bit nervous, surely enough, the pain increased after some time, I was able to endure it, After some time, the pain increased once again, this time It was a lot more painful than the last one. I began wondering if the others were undergoing this kind of test as well.

Time passed and the pain continued to increase. The pain was so unbearable that I was about to cry even. But even so,the pain did not stop, there were times I wanted to say the words I GIVE UP, but decided that I can still continue. Time passed and I began to get used to the pain, for some reason I no longer felt that it was as painful as before. Sometimes the pain would increase, after which I would try my best to adjust once again until I get used to it. At some point I began counting, and noticed that the pain would increase every 2 hours or so. Every time I was about to hit 2 hours, I would prepare myself, and do some breathing exercises to calm myself. I continued doing this, and surely the pain I receive every time would increase, but I would be able to adjust myself quickly. At this moment, the pain already increased 21 times.

I was doing the usual thing and was getting ready for the next incoming pain, but when the pain arrived, I was caught off guard. The pain I felt was not like the others I recently felt. If the others would only double the pain, this time the pain was increased by at least 10 TIMES!!!

After some time I was finally able to adjust myself, but I forgot to count the time, and not long after I adjusted myself, the next wave of pain came once again.

This time I couldn't help but let out a groaning sound, the pain increased by at least 50 TIMES.
I tried to adjust my breathing and tried to stay calm, but just as I finished doing all this, the final wave of pain already arrived, it was at least 100 times more painful than the last. My face was already very red, and veins were already bulging out of my face, arms, and other parts of my body. Strangely even after this pain, I was still not bleeding from anywhere. After a few moments, the pain slowly went away, followed by a cold and comfortable feeling. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that I was covered by a green gel, it was cold but very refreshing, I could also feel the fatigue washed away, and my strength slowly returning to me. I noticed that I was also standing on the platform I got up from in the beginning, I looked around and saw others in the same state as me, covered in a green gel. But I also noticed that some platforms were already empty.

After a few moments, the voice of the angel resounded once again,"The first test has been concluded, everyone standing on their platforms have passed, the ones who gave up are already back at the White Hall".
