The sound of waves crashing slowly filled my ears, a warm embrace holding me tight. I looked back to see Peter still asleep, with his arms wrapped around me. I carefully managed to wiggle out of his arms, trying to ignore the pain in my leg and side.

I struggled to stand but stood by the ashes of what used to be the fire. I stood there for a few moments, observing the beach and wondering what to do. I felt the warm sand in between my toes, and the cool breeze from the ocean.

I could see the rough water that continued for miles, and bits and pieces of the ship all over the shore. I looked back and saw a bunch of huge mountains, and in front of them a huge forest. The forest looked dark and scary, but for some reason, I felt drawn to it.

"NO! Y/N!" Peter was screaming in agony, as he began to toss and turn on the sand. Before I could wake him up, he began to scream again. "NO! Don't touch her!"

"Peter, hey it's okay," I said as I bent down and started rubbing his back. "It was just a nightmare, I'm right here."

"Y/N?' he asked softly.

"Come on your okay," I said gesturing for him to sit up. "D-do you get nightmares often?"

"Yeah. Ever since my parents.. died."

"Oh," I answered taking a deep breath. "W-w have that in common."

"We do?"

"Yeah, sometimes they are really bad, sometimes they just don't happen. They are usually worse depending on my life at the moment," I say, not adding how sometimes they come true. It was really weird, one time I had a dream about my grandparents being killed by aliens, and then a few weeks later, they were.

"I-I'm sorry, this is all my fault," he said looking me in the eyes.

"What are you talking about? How is it your fault?"

"B-because. If I never left yesterday morning, we'd be relaxing by the pool right now," he said but I could hear the regret in his voice.

"Well, we can't worry about that right now. For now, all we can worry about is getting found. Getting to know our closer surroundings and building shelter." I comforted him. "Okay? I'm going to look around the beach, you stay here."

"No, your hurt I'm helping."

Most of the search I just hobbled along, leaning into Peter, but about halfway through, he found a stick perfect for a crutch. We had been looking around for anything helpful for what felt like hours, but we had barely begun to scratch the surface.

Peter had since given up and began to build a shelter, but I kept looking, despite how still my leg was becoming I was just about to give up when I tripped over something in the sand. I fell to the ground as intense pain shot throughout my body.

After it finally went away I reached over and picked up the shiny object. Upon closer examination, I saw that it was a glass bottle with something inside of it. I carefully held it in my hand and hobbled over to Peter.

"What do you think it is?" I asked.

"Probably nothing important,"

"I think it'll be helpful," I said opening the bottle and the piece of paper inside of it. "It's a map!"

"Actually?" he said as he ran over to look at it. "Oh wow, wait what's that?" he said while pointing to a dot that almost looked like it was glowing, I checked the legend, and the same dot was there saying 'you are here.'"
