A/N: now we go onto the manga version of the characters.
Kale.
Pros:
1. Kale looks a lot more cutter without the lipstick.
2. Not only does she still keep most of her original personality in the manga. We get a little more of her as being a fighter in her base form as well.
3. I love her berserk/legendary super saiyan design here compared to her's in the anime.
4. we're given a bit more backstory to her.
5. I like how her legendary super saiyan form has a not so buff form to a much more buff form. It kinda showed that she was getting stronger the further one she was fighting.
6. Her legendary form at full power is less buff compared to in the anime.
7. for some reason, I found enjoyment in watching her beating the absolute hell out of an off guard golden frieza.
8. In the middle about this one, but I loved the part where she eliminated a lot of the universes. It kinda made me think that they were reintroducing legendary super saiyan as a far more powerful form than it was in the first broly film. Though, I will go over the con part.
Cons:
1. I really don't think it was far for them to have kale eliminate 4 universe all at once. I mean, it's nice for someone else to get more eliminations than u7. But, I think it got rid of any chances for other characters to at least get something. I mean, She kicked anilaza of all people off the ring with ease and he didn't get a change to move yet. This is also the case with her other team mates.
2. I don't think we were given a more detailed explanation on why kale's legendary state was so powerful or how cabba knew what legendary super saiyan was.
3. I think kale's backstory should have been shown to us so we can see what it was she went through and so we could see just what it was she went through before she met caulifla.
4. She doesn't gain control over the form at all.
5. She doesn't have too much development in this compared to the anime.
6. She and Caulifla don't any other shown time at all before the tournament.
Caulifla.
Pros:
1. Her being a leader of bandits seems a lot more interesting than being the leader of a simple gang.
2. She's got some awesome fights in the manga. The one with frieza being a good example.
3.Her being novice at super saiyan was okay for the most part. It shows that it does take time to get used to the form.
4. Her personality is kinda the same with her in the anime. However, that's not entirely good.
Cons:
1. She has a bit less more personality than she did in the anime and she hardly cares about kale at all since she just treats her like a minion rather than a friend.
2. Her not fight or even acknowledging the god forms seem to be a downer since I think those would have at least given her motivation to fight and get stronger.
3. They made her unfairly weak in the manga. Especially when she was said to be a fighting Prodigy and the manga doesn't get to show it and she's treated poorly in it.
4. She doesn't even talk about kale's loyalty or the fact that kale had managed to achieve a legendary power no seen for years.
Kefla.
Pros:
1. Her body type seems to be a good mix of both kale and caulifla's as she's a bit buff but not all that much.
2. While I had no problem with the flashback part on how they got the portara in the anime. I kinda prefer how she secretly stole them in the manga instead since it shows more to her thieving side.
3. Her fight with gohan was..... alright for the most part. But the majority of that is a con.
4. I like how she was able to accept when she's beaten. Though, this is also a half.
Cons:
1. We get kefla for only two chapters and that's it.
2. Her fight with gohan really didn't make much sense considering kale was able to take out 4 universe at a time and even beat around a surprised golden frieza. Kefla should have been far more stronger than gohan.
3. We don't even get to see much of the fight at all since it's mainly cut away most of the time.
4. While I like how she was able to accept when she's beaten. I personally think she should have been far more determine in her battle with gohan till the end.
And there we go, that's all the pros and cons of the manga versions. compared to each other, I like the anime versions more since I think they at the very least have more development.
However, I am thinking of a way I can try to merge aspects of the two versions together to try and make them work in the dragon ball stories I have. That's all for now. Hope you liked these pages.
