"Mims?" I looked up from my breakfast at the head table where we ate with the other professors.
"Yes Melody?" She raised an eyebrow at me much like our resident potions master.
"Can we go to Diagon tomorrow?" She raised her eyes at the ceiling before turning towards me with a quirk to her lips.
"I am very busy tomorrow, but I'm sure if you ask nicely Severus will take you. Only if he is free as well." A choked noise came from my right and I snickered into my pumpkin juice at the affronted look on the snarky potion teachers face.
"Oh pleaseeeee Sev? Please please please?" I made my eyes rather large and stuck my bottom lip out in a motion I know he can't refuse.
"Fine you insufferable brat!" He snapped, grumbling under his breath as he turned away from us.
"Perfect!" I chirped, placing a kiss on my mothers cheek before bounding out of the great hall, much to the amusement of the other teachers.

"We can't take all day you know Melody." I grinned up at Severus and rolled my eyes at his glower as I grabbed his hand and tugged him along through the crowd.
"I know Sev! Let's get robes first!" An all-suffering sigh answered me even as he followed along at my rushed pace.
"You can not and will not be calling me that in classes or you will lose points and gain detentions faster than you can blink." Without even missing a beat I turned a stuck my tongue out at him.
Rolling my eyes back at him, "I know! Only in private or in your personal brewing labs, otherwise you're only the stern and snarky Professor Snape." Snickering behind my hand as his glower darkened at me we stepped through the doors of Madame Malkin's Robe shop.
The shop assistant that approached us was the one that normally fitted me when Mims brought me in for new clothes. "Hogwarts at last?" At my enthusiastic nod she grinned and waved us through to a back room. "Already got two others back there, so it'll be just a moment before I can get you situated dearie." My eyes widened at the pale blonde head of hair that I saw in the room.
"Draco!" I yelled, breaking free of Sev's grip to rush over and fling my arms around my blonde friend.
"Mels!" His face broke out into a grin even as the dark haired boy next to us flinched back from our yelling. "I didn't think to see you here otherwise I would've invited you with me!" Our faces flushed as a sharp cough was made behind me.
"Mister Malfoy." Sev's deep voice intoned, even as I saw his eyes never left the dark haired kid behind Draco.
"Uncle Severus." A cheeky grin flitted across Dray's as Sev muttered under his breath and rolled his eyes slightly.
"Who's this Dray?" I peered around him to the other boy and Sev gasped as he looked timidly up at us with the most brilliant green eyes I had ever seen.
"uh, my names Harry?" Grinning madly at him I stuck out a hand for him to shake, watching his every move as he glanced around the room before hesitantly taking my offered hand.
"Harry Potter right?" His eyes got big and my smile slid off my face as he noticeably shrunk into himself. "I'm Melody Founders, and unless the blonde ponce next to me has already introduced himself, he's Draco Malfoy or Dray as I call him." Winking at Harry at Draco's affronted yell and subsequent elbow in my side.
He giggled softly as Dray and I smiled at how much it lit his face up, eyes glowing an Avada Kedavra. I side-eyed Sev as he was still frozen in shock at the sight of James Potter's child in the flesh. Rolling my eyes mentally I jabbed my arm into his side and just huffed at the frosty glare he shot at me.
