The fine hairs on Edward's marble-like skin prickled. Without the thought to do so, the muscles in his legs carried him one step closer.
His body knew what it wanted, and it wanted desperately.
Jacob took a step back, but Edward was already anticipating his next move. He was behind Jacob faster than the next thump of the wolf's own racing heart.
He pinned Jacob's back to his chest, his hand pushing up the cotton fabric of his black shirt, and his own arm hooked around the hot skin of Jacob's exposed waist. An involuntary shiver raced through his nerve endings as he relished in the white-hot fire Jacob's skin provided.
The contrasting temperatures between their flesh ignited torches of flames with lightning sizzling through their veins.
Jacob struggled in his hold as cold fingers splayed across his skin, moving up along his torso in a tantalizing movement.
"Quit it," Jacob growled through clenched teeth. He tried to pry Edward's hand away. It was no use. Not one bit. The attraction Edward held for him was just too much. The time he had spent trying to avoid this encounter had all been for naught. Each time he had slipped on his cold mask, Edward pried it off and crumbled it within his bare hand. Each instance Jacob distanced himself, Edward chased him down like one would an obstinate lover. Jacob would never escape the vampire's aching desire...
A cold nose nuzzled the side of his jaw. A frozen breath formed and then lingered on his skin...
"Stop fighting this," Edward whispered in Jacob's ear. He pulled the heat of his body impossibly closer to his, pressing his own hips further into Jacob's tailbone. Edward located the warmth of Jacob's hand, intertwined their fingers, and placed them above the wolf's erratic heart.
"I'm not fighting anything! Get the fuc-"
Stunned, he emitted out a cry as he felt something rasp against his right nipple, his toes curling in reaction. He gasped and caught his bottom lip between his teeth. Why was this happening to him?
"Yes...you are."
"What-" The bob in Jacob's throat was hard to swallow, he didn't like where this was going. "What exactly do I keep fighting against?"
"Me."
A note of dismay stuck in his throat. "What do you want from me?"
"You. I want you."
Jacob's breathing stuttered. Teeth gently nipped at the patch of skin on the underside of his jaw. His stomach sucked in as Edward's icy fingers slowly trailed downward. Iciness licked over his belly button and swept over his lower torso.
A sudden electric charge went through him.
A smirk formed against the back of his nape.
"Interesting..." Edward whispered against his skin.
"What?" Jacob gritted out.
"I can feel your sudden increase in libido."
Jacob felt the fabric of Edward's shirt ruck up, firm, cold skin pressing against his black shirt. But that wasn't for long.
Abruptly, the black shirt was raised higher.
Edward's breath hitched as they were skin to skin. Quickly pulling Jacob's shirt up, he faced some resistance from him, so he leisurely tore it from the V-shaped collar, the ripping sounds loud and exciting in his own ears. Halfway down, Jacob's chest glistened with sweat as it heaved.
Edward stopped right before the last three inches of the rest of the shirt to let it slowly fall down Jacob's broad shoulders and descend to his hips. Then, Edward wasted no time in tearing his own shirt open, buttons flying in every direction before bringing a hand to the wolf's chest and drawing him until they connected back-to-chest.
Their skin was polar opposites; fire and ice.
