Slowly Across the Sky

I moved slowly through the open field; why was I walking so slow across this field?

I don't even remember how I got here but I seem fine with that. My mind then came back to the fact that I was in an open field that seemed to have no end in sight.

Then I looked down towards what I thought was grass; I saw no grass.

But I did see a clear floor and under that clear floor was a house; it was a brown house with a bright white fence around it. That was when I realized; it was my house.

I had stopped walking by now and stayed behind looking at my house; how did I end up above my house?

I then saw the answer to my question; an ambulance was outside of my house and taking out a black bag.

In that black bag must have been my old aching body. I then looked at myself to see that I was no longer old but that I looked like a young adult.

I was so confused about why I looked so young but then after the ambulance left; I started to walk again but the field was gone and was replaced by a white path, so I followed it.

I followed it slowly as all my memories of my life before death flashed all around me.

I didn't stop to watch each one but by me walking slow, I could see them all.
