Rose pov.

"You know she not going to like that you are pulling her back," I tell the captain as myself he and Slattery walk down the P-way "well she just going to have to make do won't she" was all he said before Slattery started talking about the baseball. and speaking of the Devil Dr. Scott cut off our path standing right in front of Tom.

"Captain Chandler, you had no right to pull me from my work." she said sounding somewhat pissed off, "Am going to check on the" Slattery started to say before hurrying of as fast as he could, making Tom let out a small smile as he looked from Slattery to me then back to Dr. Scott, I thought I stay and watch "Those men are here to support me, You don't send them to bring me in" she started to say after Slattery left "Those men are Sailors in the U.S. Navy" Tom started to say but she started to talk over him, "Doctor" Tom then said raising his voice a little making her stop, she looked to me as if asking me to help but I just shook my head, no way am going against the Captain no way.

"First of all, Thank you for checking in, think this is the first time you have said more than three words to me since we left Norfolk" His voice was must soft now as he talked to her, and he is not joking she really had not talked to him since we left she does not even talk to me and am assigned to look after her "Well, am sorry that I haven't had you around for tae" she then said in a sarcastic way making me snort out a little laugh getting a small dagger look from Tom making me stop and stand up tall.

"You know, your attitude was mildly charming back in June in Virginia but up here, at 50 below when none of us have talked to our families in four months, Not so charming" was all he said back to her shaking his head at the end "Yeah, well charm wasn't exactly my" she started to backchat again, but stopped the Tom put his finger up "Still Talking, Now, I think I've been more than a gracious host, taxied you and your assistant around the island here, so you could chase after your Ducks," "Arctic Terns" I said out correcting him, having him and Dr. Scott look at me, then back to each other, she may not talk to me but I do listen in from time to time,

"You need to wrap it up, our mission's done and we'll be heading home" Tom told her starting to walk past her but stopped "I'll take a rain check on that tae" was all he said before walking off, she then looked to me "What, I have no power here" I told her holding up my hands in surrender, as she looked at me pissed off "I still have work to do here" she told me her voice hard like she was trying not to shout "I know but over 200 people on this ship want to go home" I replied hoping that would change her mind, she was about to open her mouth but closed it again before storming off "Lieutenant commander" Tom than shouted from where he had stopped part the next hatch,

I catch up with him as we walked "There something I need to tell you, Rose, after I have radio in, meet me in my cabin" was all he said before walking off, that has to be the first time in four months he has said my first name and am slightly worried, taking in a deep breath I turned around and made my way to the lads to see if I could get Dc Scott to cool down.
