A Glimmer of hope.

Emilio: "WHAT?!" The boy screamed, "SPIRIT DRAGON!?" He was completely taken off guard by the statement that Soba has made.

Soba: "Yep, spirit dragon" Soba said "Only a few people have the ability to control the dragons, 2 at the least" She said getting up from where she was lying.

Emilio: "But wait, how come I get this ability?" He asked Soba that was now walking towards him.

Soba: "Because you have faced challenges that many people haven't" She answered sitting around him, "I mean nobody, has become as kind as you after what happened to your mom..." she proceeded.

Emilio: "Well.... I guess you got a point" Emilio said "But if you are my spirit dragon, then what do I do now?" He asked

Soba: "Well you take the objects home! What else?" She said giggling a bit.

Emilio: "But I can't just walk into my house with a wakizashi on my left hip, a shuriken thrower on my right hand, and a katana on my back! My sister would kill me!" He said with certain worry in his tone.

Soba: "Just leave that to me" She said with a smile.

Suddenly his phone starts to ring, making him jump, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and saw that Andrea was calling him, he pressed the green button and answered the call.

Emilio: "Hello?" He replied, Soba being interested in what his sister was going to say lowered her head on the other side of the phone.

Andrea: "Emilio, where are you right now?" Andrea replied, he noticed that she had a worried tone on her voice, "I thought you would be home by now!" she said.

Emilio: "I'm.....I'm on my way home right now, I'll be there in a few minutes" He replied trying to settle her down.

Andrea: "Ok, please make it home safely, do you need me to pick you up?" She asked, slightly calmed down.

Emilio: "No, I'm almost there" He said.

Andrea: "Ok, be safe Charlie" She replied before hanging up.

Emilio sighed and looked at Soba, "Well since I'm going to be living with you, I guess you should shrink and get on my shoulders", he told Soba.

Soba: "Ok, but what are you going to do with the items?" She said while shrinking and wrapping herself around his shoulders.

Emilio: "I thought you would be taking care of that!" He said.

Soba: "I'm just joking with you" She said, her eyes then started glowing a neon green color, the items started to glow too, and with a flash the items disappeared.

Emilio: "Where did they go?" He asked soba.

Soba: "I teleported them to your room, don't worry I hid them under your bed" She said, "And since you don't have a clue on where you are right now, how about I teleport us to your front door?" She asked Emilio.

Emilio: "Well....okay but make it quick it's almost time for dinner" He replied, and as she did with the objects, she teleported them to a vortex where you could only see the stars and some galaxies.

Soba: "But what are you going to say about me?" She asked him once again as they passed by a blue supergiant.

Emilio: "I'll just say that I found an injured snake and that I will be taking care of you, How does that sound?" He asked her.

Soba: "Okay, Oh were landing by the way" She said making the boy look down and they indeed were approaching their planet's atmosphere, and in near seconds the ground.

With a green flash the boy appeared in his front door, then he looked at Soba who smiled at him.

He opened the door and walked in, he noticed that his sister was in the kitchen cooking dinner, like she usually is.

Quietly he managed to get to his room without anyone noticing, he took off his jacket and hung it over in his wall, he looked under his bed and saw the katana, shurikens, and wakizashi under his bed.

Emilio*SIGH*, "Por lo menos todo lo que estaba en el bosque está aquí" He told himself in spanish.

Soba: "Whoa I didn't know you speak spanish!" Soba said quite impressed, Emilio looked at her and smiled.

Andrea: Charlie? Is that you?

Emilio: "Y-Yeah! Coming!" He yelled loud enough for his sister to hear, "Remember to act like a snake, act friendly and we will get through this, Ok? " He asked Soba who nodded to his idea.

He walked down the stairs and into the dining room, immediately he was greeted cheerfully by his sister. But the cheerful look on her face changed quickly when she noticed Soba.

Andrea: "OH EMILIO WHAT IS THAT ON YOUR SHOULDER?!?!" She screamed.

Emilio: "Uhhhh.....she....well.....I....she is my snake?" He shrugged, making Andrea grab a knife and point at Soba with it.

Emilio: "No! No! Wait! I found her on the road, she seemed lost and hungry, so I gave her a piece of the bread I bought earlier in the day, and she just wrapped herself around me." He explained "She didn't want to let go so I took her with me" He continued.

Andrea: "Ok, that explains where you were this whole time" She paused for a brief moment to look at her brother, "But did you even consider the fact that this snake could inject her venom into you whenever she would like to?"

Emilio: "She isn't poisonous, she would have bit me by now" He said looking at Soba, "Can I keep her? I'll promise I will take care of her, please!" He begged to his sister.

Andrea: "Well....you have proved to us that you are responsible.....alright"

Emilio: "Yes!, thanks sis!" He thanked his sister by giving her a hug.

Andrea:"Ok, go wash your hands, it's time to eat" His sister ordered, he nodded and let go of her, he went to the kithchen's sink and washed his hands.

Emilio looked at Soba and told her in his thoughts, "Remember to behave, alright?" she nodded in response.
