The Engagement Party: Part 1

Caroline's POV

There is just so much to do. First I have to plan the Engagement Party. Then Elena has to tell me the date of the wedding so I can get a jumpstart on that. Then we have to send out invitations. Then have a dress fitting. There is just too much to do. But on the bright side, I have booked the grill for tonight at 5pm for the Engagement party. So that is one thing I can (almost) cross off my checklist. I better check in with Elena and make sure that date is good.

I pulled out my phone and texted her. Hey Elena! Just booked the Grill tonight at 5pm. Is that good?

A few moments later my phone buzzed, Sounds good Care! Thanks for keeping me updated.

Just doing my job. I texted back.

I checked my watch and it read 12:04 pm.

Okay so 4 hours and 56 minutes until the Engagement party. I need to go get decorations, make sure there is enough food for everyone on the guest list who RSVP'ed, and then I have to go get ready. 

Busy, busy day.

Elena's POV

"Stefan!" I called. He was making us panini sandwhiches for lunch.

"Yes Mrs.Salvatore?" He replied, making me blush.

"The Engagement party is tonight, 5pm, at the grill." I told him.

I heard him stirring up a side dish,"Okay babe."

I walked into the kitchen to find him holding two plates with Panini sandwiches with lettuce, chicken, tomato's, mushrooms, olives, and a special sauce and a salad with all my favorite toppings.

"Wow." I smiled,"Someone went all out on lunch."

He grinned,"I wanted to make you something special."

"Awe. look at you acting like my hubby already." I teased.

He kissed me on the cheek.

"I love you Stefan."

"I love you more Elena."

I looked up at him mischievously,"Ya know. Im not really that hungry right now. Help me work up an appetite?"

He smirked, "Don't mind if I do."

Caroline's POV

Okay so the Grill has an order of 10 chicken breasts and 5 samon. The decorations are set up and all i have to do now is get ready.  3:55pm... and all with an hour and 5 minutes to spare.

I headed to my house and hopped in the shower. After that I put on a silk pink dress, curled my hair, put on pink pumps, and did make up with nude eyeshadow and bright pink lip stick. 

4:30pm...Time to get the the Grill. 

When I got there, Elena, Stefan, Bonnie, and Damon were already there.

"Hey love birds!" I greeted them. 

"Hey! Care this looks fantastic!" Elena complimented me.

I ginned, "Did you expect anythin less?" 

She laughed,"Of course not. You're the best in the bussiness."

"Damn right I am." I agreed.

"So who all are we waiting on?" Stefan asked.

"Jeremy, Jeremy's new little girlfriend Anna, My mom, Alaric, Jenna(in my story, Jenna never dies. this is just the first time I have needed her in the story), April Young, Tyler, Matt, meredith, and Lexi(another character who never died in my story)." I told him.

"Holy Shit, Care." Elena laughed, "Thats alot of people."

"And you know what that means?" I smirked.

"What?" Elena asked.

"Alot of Presents!" I exclaimed.

Everyone laughed.

In the next 15 minutes, Everyone started showing up. We all sat at the table and ate our food. Elena looked like she was having a good time and so did everyone else so looks like another success for Caroline Forbes. 

"Hello Everyone, " Said a voice all to familiar, " You were'nt going to have an engagement party and not invite your old buddy............."
