Blood stained the sidewalk.

Red was along the walls and was smeared on his clothes.

It was everywhere. Slowly streaming down his face along with the tears and the droplets of rain starting to come down again.

The alley was filled with the musky sent of blood. The air had always had that sent though right now it was worst to be near the source.

He didn't know the victim but he knew from the blood that they were a non infected.

Patton whipped his head around quickly. He couldn't stay here, he was going to get caught. Not that it mattered, though, he didn't think for it. He gunned down the alley, getting more and more lost as he progressed.

All he realized was that he had killed an innocent man. Probably mercilessly. He could hardly comprehend what the body was at first when he finally woke up.

The alleys were set up like a labyrinth, he couldn't even comprehend how one could navigate them. He couldn't cry out in fear of being caught and dragged into something worst, and he completely forgot about the fact that he had wings.

He ran endlessly for hours until he ran into someone.

The man was fairly tall, much taller from the ground -because upon impact he had fell- and he wore a long lab coat and mask, and loomed over threateningly. He didn't seem like he meant harm, but Patton knew better.

Patton scurried back in panic but the man stood idle there for a minute but then approached closer. Patton tried his best not to panic. he knew if he got to stressed he would turn, and he didn't want to see the darkness again, even if it'd mean he wouldn't be harmed.

But even despite what he wanted, the world was suddenly black, and he just hoped it wasn't another innocent man at his hands.

---------

Patton woke, but the blood was dry and he couldn't move. He struggled but he seemed stuck and he started to panic again as he struggled, realizing he was cuffed down to a table of sorts stood up vertically. He flapped his wings in panic, both in fear of being hurt and in fear that he will come out again.

He had gathered by the fact that he wasn't drenched in blood that he had only been knocked unconscious, but stemming from that, he was in a whole new world of trouble. He really tried to calm himself down but he couldn't do anything about the growing adrenaline.

Someone stepped out the shadows, but seemed to pay not much mind to him, heading over to some sort of terminal, glancing every now and then. Patton held his breath steadily as the unknown someone paced around Patton, heels clicking like a clock against the floor,

"aware of surroundings, not as hostile as the others, though he has just awoken so it may be the slight stupor state he's in." a male voice mumbled from the masked figure. Patton heard the footsteps shuffle a bit and only assumed he had turned and stopped.

Patton screamed as the board he was secured too fell down flat into a table position. The man paused for a bit, then walked away, coming back rolling a cart with a cloth covering it next to the table, "definitely aware" Patton looked over, seeing the man rub his ears in annoyance, "clearly anxious. Maybe human. Checking now"

Patton's breathing paced faster as the man revealed under the cloth to be an assortment of surgical knifes with a syringe laying next to a medical bag. The man lifted up the scalpel and Patton started struggling again, but found himself unable to move away as the blade cut into his wrist. Patton screamed again and struggled, stress causing blood to pour out from the incision. The man stood unaffected and grabbed the syringe, gathering as much blood as he could fill into the vile.
