Julie and I were in our room. It was really late. But I sometimes have sleepless nights like this. I tend to think a lot. I peeked out our window and saw something unbelievable. I shook Julie awake. "Julie, get up! Now!" I whispered.
"It better be worth it."
I help her up onto the roof and then climb up myself. "Whoa..." Julie said in astonishment. We could see Aurora Borealis. It was so beautiful with all the different colors. Julie was shivering, so I gave her my gigantic sweatshirt (it went down to my ankles).
"Dammit, now I'm cold." I say, shivering.
"There's still plenty of room. This thing's huge!" She says. So I get into the hoodie with her. Luckily we're both small and that hoodie has got to be the biggest one in existence. "Where'd you get this?"
"My uncle gave it to me. He's enormous."
Apparently we were making a lot of noise because Hayden's head popped up on the other side of the roof. She was making a smug face.
"What?" I say, although I already know.
"Whatcha doooooin?" She says.
"We were cold." I pout. She doesn't buy it.
"Why are you even up here?" Hayden says.
"Look up."
She looks up. "Whoa..."
Mitch's head pops up next to Hayden's. Then he sees me and Julie and puts on the same smug face that Hayden did.
"Oooooooo..." He says.
"Very mature." Julie says.
"Well, we should go to bed now..." I say.
"Yeah." Julie agrees. We both climb down. We take off my hoodie and climb into bed. Julie falls asleep after about 10 seconds. I don't sleep at all, so I'm very tired the next day.
