FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE CONTINUATION

Dear Edward

Edward's eyes reflected upon the flames of Mustang. He remembered all the memories, good and bad, of Mustang.

“Mustang, you idiot..” He whispered as tears fell on his face.
Everyone was shocked to see the Führer's death. As the smoke slowly disappeared, only one body appeared.
The body of Idolatry.

It was confirmed. Mustang is gone.

Edward was frozen. Thinking why Mustang did it. Sacrificed his life, his goal, his dream for a better Amestris. Just for the Elric brothers. And he thought, what is sacrifice?

Suddenly, Riza came to Edward.
"This is from Roy. He wants you to read it if he dies. He prepared to give his life for the safety of Central, and for Amestris itself. To end the Homunculi. The letter was for the worst case scenario which is what happened now.."

More tears fell as Edward read the letter.

"To Edward, from Mustang

If you are reading this letter, that means I'm dead. I hope this letter clarifies why I sacrificed my life. I know. You are probably asking how I knew I was gonna die. Well, I did not know. I just assumed and prepared for the worst. When I heard that there was another Homunculus, I assumed this was gonna be stronger than the others. I knew that we have no military, or fighters in general, that would be able to take down this Homunculus. Greed could take him down, but Ling is emperor. He can't just leave his job for an issue of another nation. And so, it all comes down to the final resort. My full power flames. I have never used these flames knowing that it was too strong to be stopped and I could never control it. That is why I will only use this if the country is at stake. And I probably used it now. I'm sorry Edward, if I disappointed you because a Homunculus could take my life, the Flame Alchemist, the Hero of the Ishval War, and most especially, as the Führer."

Alrighty! I'm sorry to say that this is where the story ends. I just wanted to have a clear ending. And I'm also sorry if it was short. So yeah.
