1 - the breakup

Jungkook POV

" Ji Eun please, d-don't leave me. You can't do this to me. Why Ji Eun w-why? I sobbed my heart out. Kneeling on the ground, tightly holding on to ji eun's soft delicate hands. It felt just like the first time we held hands when we were happy together. Many happy memories came into my head.

- fast forward -

" Hey Jungkook, let's go out to have some lunch. Meet me at Starbucks after school today okay? " Ji Eun spoke over the phone.

She hasn't come to school lately and i got pretty worried about her. I texted her regularly asking if she was okay but she always texted back with " im fine, don't worry about me. " Which did make me feel much more worried than i already was but that wasn't the only thing i was worried about. Ji Eun and I have been together for about a year now and things were going well until a few weeks ago, before she stopped coming to school. She rarely talked or messaged me and most of the time she tried to avoid me. Whenever we talked she just doesn't seem like the Ji Eun i used to know, the happy-go-lucky and cheerful one. She always used start conversations and tries her best to make me smile when im down but she's the complete opposite now. Silent, moody and less smiley. I just hope nothing bad happened to her.

" Oh okay, see you. " I replied. She then ended the call without speaking. I heaved a big sigh and got back to eating my tray of food in the canteen.

Taehyung noticed the change of my mood and asked " Ji Eun again? " I got startled. Taehyung chuckled a little and i nodded. He sighed and swung his arm over my shoulder. " Look, maybe she's just having her period or something. Don't over-think too much man im sure it isn't going to be this bad." I nodded again and continued eating.

Maybe he was right, girls do get quite moody during their period but im still not convinced enough. I just hope she will be fine when we have lunch together.

- time skip -

I entered Starbucks and saw Ji Eun sitting down at the corner of the cafe slowly sipping her iced latte. I took in a huge breath before walking towards her.

" H-hey " I stuttered since it's been a while since we met in person.

" Oh hey. Go get yourself some food first, you must be hungry. " She said in a monotone voice. She smiled very slightly, just that small curl that the end of her soft pink lips. It warmed me a lot and it makes me felt less worried because I haven't seen her smile for days.

I went to queue up and got myself an iced americano with a ham and cheese sandwich.

I sat right in front of Ji Eun and gave her a smile. She nodded slightly while sipping her drink which broke my heart a little. I then took a drink and ate a small piece of my sandwich.

" So what have you been doing these days? " I asked

" O-oh I've been helping out in some family events and found myself a job. " She replied, not directly looking at me.

" A-ah good for you. So uhm why did you call me out here for lunch? " I asked again but this time a little softer.

" Well, i needed to tell you that... im moving out in a few days also I'll have to transfer to another school. " She said, holding tightly onto her drink almost like squeezing it.

" W-what? why? " My eyes slowly turning red as i felt tears forming.

" Jungkook can we talk outside? " She asked, finally staring at my nearly red eyes.

" Y-yea sure. " She then went out of the cafe as i followed behind her.

She brought us to an alley. A place no one really goes to so that we could have some privacy.

" I feel that i need to get away from here. From Seoul. Im moving to Daegu because my job is there and I also need some time alone. " Ji Eun spoke but her voice cracked in between. She was tearing up too.

" W-what do you mean? " Tears already rolling down my cheeks.

" Im saying that we should break up. " It felt as if the world was crashing down on me. Everything froze in my vision, i couldn't believe i just heard the last word i wanted her to say in this 1 year relationship. " No... " I said but it came out as a whisper because i was crying

" Ji Eun I-I love you so much. So much that I'll do everything just for you. Do you know how much i was worried about you when you stopped coming to school. You acted so w-weirdly nowadays i was v-very worried about y- " She cut me off.

" I told you not to worry about me, why didn't you listen. I stopped coming to school and tried avoiding you because i n-needed to get away from you. Jungkook, I don't l-love you anymore... " She then tried leaving as a tear dropped from her cheeks.

I dropped to my knees, landing onto the hard concert floor, probably bruising my knees but i dismissed the fact.

" Ji Eun please, d-don't leave me. You can't do this to me. Why Ji Eun w-why? I sobbed my heart out. Kneeling on the ground, tightly holding on to ji eun's soft delicate hands. It felt just like the first time we held hands when we were happy together. Many happy memories came into my head.

She stopped on her tracks " Jungkook, y-you're not worth my time and love and so do i. Just leave me a-alone. " She tried removing my hands off her's and because of how weak i was, she succeeded. She continued walking but then stopped once more and turned around to face me.

" Goodbye Jungkook. Enjoy your new life, without me. It was nice knowing you. " And she walked away, slowly fading out of my sight.

I was still on the ground, looking at my hands which felt Ji Eun's... for the last time. I buried my hands into my face, crying out all the tears i have in me. " Why must y-you leave me. I really really love you. P-please come back Ji Eun. " I continued sobbing.

Alright guys im sorry you have to read that as a beginning to this new book of mine haha but i really hope you liked it. Im not really good at using words so please excuse me. But im very excited for this book because im very confident with this story as i got inspiration from reading some instagram short stories so credit to those awesome people who wrote those.
