Yao sighed. Today was the meeting with the royals from the Clubs' Kingdom.

Yao didn't hate the Clubs personally, it was just really annoying because his king (Alfred of Spades) had an icy relationship with the Clubs king, Ivan. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that they hated each other's guts.

The queens got along for the most part and Yao was fine with the other Jack, but he still had a big problem.

That of course was his crush on the King of Clubs.

Being around your crush was already hard, especially with the stupid rule.

All four kingdoms must not intermarry or engage in any romantic activity with each other

Who even made that rule? It seemed silly. 

It didn't matter, however, rules were made to be followed. Yao was an obedient spade. He couldn't break such an important rule.

Yao then snapped out of his thought as a certain handsome club made his way to him.

Yao tried not to blush when he saw Ivan's rich violet eyes. "H-hello, your majesty. The meeting will start shortly, King Alfred just forgot his-"

"I was not worried about the meeting, Jack." He said, smiling warmly at Yao.

"O-oh, of course; will you sit down?"

"Da." He sat down.

"I have always wanted to say, I love your eyes." The king said out of nowhere, turning the jack into a blushing mess.

"I-I-I... uh-"

Alfred burst through the door. "THE HERO IS HERE!"

Yao snapped his attention to Alfred. Wow, thanks for ruining the moment. He thought.

Yao sighed. "Now that King Alfred had returned, let's begin the meeting."
