I entered Tae's house. The place was overcrowded and huge. It was no secret that Tae was a social butterfly, and situations like these proved so.The party was a success; People around were having a good time. I didn't plan on showing up in the first place, but things changed.
I searched for Tae in the crowd. Jungkook must be here as well. I don't think he's expecting to see me here, after leaving alone and ignoring me at the coffee shop.
I suddenly ran into Tae. However Jungkook wasn't with him. Where could he be off to?
"Heyyy! Here's my other bestie!" He hugged me smiling. "You've made it after all."
"And I would have sooner, had Jungkook asked me whether I wanna attend."
Taehyung looked surprised. "What? Didn't he? I thought you were busy."
"The thing is that the situation has been weird between us since this morning." I added.
"He really looked pressed before. And upset. When I asked him what's wrong, he said it's something about you two."
So if it's like that, why didn't he confront me straight away instead of coming here alone?
We have to talk. This can't wait.
"I need to find him then. Any idea on his whereabouts?"
Tae scanned the place quickly. "We were dancing together a few moments ago. But I ran off to greet some guests. My guess is that he's still on the dancefloor. Go take a look." , he prompted me happily. "And talk it out. I'm sure you'll be fine." He flashed a warm smile at me and I returned it to him.
"Thanks. Have fun as well, you social butterfly." "I will!"
The dancefloor was constantly full. I shot some glances around. Only to be surprised soon, and not in a good way.
Across the room, I finally spotted him. He was locking eyes with a woman I've never seen before.
Her dancing moves do not indicate friendly intentions. She keeps on getting close.
What is happenning?
Jungkook smirks at her. She reaches for his chin.
Closer and closer.
Did I miss something?
She leans for a kiss. He cuts her off.
Thank god.
And just as I was about to calm down cause apparently he wasn't giving in, things went down.
She caressed, rather harshly with her lips, his neck and whispered something in his ear.
She touched his shoulder again. She's got some nerve.
He's alone now and about to leave. Is he going to go after her?
Maybe pick up what they left off?
Oh, this is not a misunderstanding anymore. It's definetely something else.
What the hell?
The relaxed attitude scenario just flew out the window.
If flirting around is his answer to our situation, let him have it.
The only question running through my head now was whether I was more hurt or mad.
I could sense my boiling anger. This at least feels better than admitting being torn to pieces at the same time.
Not gonna lie, it hurts like hell.
I care about him more than I do about any stupid misunderstanding.
Yet he... Nevermind.
Let's get out of here.
As I was about to exit the room, I watched him turn around and facing my direction.
Oops, you just got caught babe.
His expression didn't show surprise though.
He looked... irritated.
Great, that makes two of us.
I can't understand why though.
My trail of thoughts was cut off as he came towards my way, grabbing me by the wrist and applying medium force.
"We need a quieter place to talk."
He tugged me mildly, but strongly enough out of the dancefloor and into one of Tae's guest rooms. He locked the door.
And that's how we ended up in the room, with silence between us.
