i head to my room

to make sure that you're

still asleep.

i see you

curled up in the blanket

sleeping peacefully.

i head to the front door

and put on a light jacket

and put on my shoes.

before i leave,

i write a little note

on a sheet of paper

and tape it to the door.

i hope that you'll find it,

and understand why i did it.

i want you to be happy.

don't dwell on me.

i'm not worth it.
