The next week flew by fast as she prepared for college and adjusting to her new life here in Washington. She lived in an apartment alone, all week she had spent unpacking her luggage and organizing the new furniture she had bought to decorate her apartment. She decided to go to work early at the nightclub, to observe and get in the hang of doing things.

When she arrived, she realized she didn't pay much attention to the interior of the nightclub. It was huge. The walls were neatly painted black . In the center was a stage where the performers would sing or dance. To the right of the stage was a slightly taller platform holding up the DJ computers and all sorts of devices used to play music. Right next to it on both corners of the stage were large stereos. Ye-Ji eyes lingered on the set of lights hung above every corner of the nightclub. She gazed over to the other side of the nightclub where the bar was located. There where twelve leather chairs aligned perfectly in a row. The bar table was made from polished dark brown oak wood. In front of the table was a large cabinet and on top was a counter filled with organized beer, liquor, vodka, on one side of the cabinet. On the other half were the neatly placed shot glass and other materials used to make party drinks. Next to the bar were three doors. Two of which were the doors of the bathroom and Tori's office.

Ye-Ji nervously made her way to Tori's office. This time, she knocked on the door and from the other side she could hear Tori say, "Come in!" Ye-Ji opened the door and said, "Hi Mrs. Tori, we met the other week about the job and you said to come in today. I'm a little early I hope you don't mind."

"Ah, yes I remember you. The girl who barged into my office unannounced" she said, recalling the moment.

Ye-Ji blushed, "Yes, that was me. I am so sorry for being rude that day. It won't happen again."

"That's quite alright Hun, as long as you know you made a mistake and won't do it twice." She gave her the look of a mother when scolding her child.

"Now, as for your job duties. You'll start off with maintenance and then later transition into becoming a waitress" Tori said, going into specifics cleaning duties to do while giving her a tour of the whole club. The rest of her work day went by fast, there were a lot of customers by 9pm.

She could feel the predatory eyes of the drunk men in the club. But she ignored them and tried to make as less of interactions with people as she could. Her shift ended a little earlier because she started sooner and her last task was to throw out the trash.

As she went on the alley side of the club where the trash bin was located. She felt the stands of her hair on her neck stand up, she was being watched. Before she could make it back the door, she was stopped by three figures emerging from the shadows. Just her luck, on her first day of the jobs she gets ambushed.

"What do you want? My friends are waiting for me to return. They'll come looking for me soon" she lied smoothly, trying to not let the fear overwhelm her or show. All three of the men laughed. They looked to be around in their twenties.

"Liar, we've been watching you for all night now. You didn't bring any friends along with you." The man said in a croaky tone.

She felt her face turn white, "Don't come near me" she yelled desperately. She couldn't run back inside to the club. One of the men was blocking it and the other two were surrounding her. She was trapped. She had two options, yell for help over the loud club music or fight. Ye-Ji was never the fighting type, her dad taught her a bit on fighting, but she was never willing to fight. Now, she had no choice. She knew she stood no chance against three large men, but she wasn't going down without a fight. She got close to the man that spoke first and trailed her fingers along his arm. All eyes were on her as she said, "You want to take this to your place?" the man grinned, "Let's go" the men all started walking together toward the end of the alleyway and she kicked the man closest to her where the sun doesn't shine. She made a run for it leaving the man clutching his manhood on the ground groaning in pain. The other men furiously ran towards her, at least 10 feet away. They were fast but not as fast as her. Ye-Ji tried to mentally plan out where to hide, but it was no use. She was new to the area and didn't know where to go. She only knew she had to keep running.

"I think she went in here" one of the goons said. Ye-ji felt her heart drop, she could hear the four footsteps searching the area. Ye-Ji didn't even dare to breath, she heard two feet come to a stop in front of the couch. The couch shook as the man sat down.

"I don't see her Rick, you sure she went in here?" the man said questioningly.

"There is nowhere else she could hide, of course she's in here somewhere" the man that was apparently named Rick said. "Carter's going to have my ass if we don't find her. Keep searching!" Rick said. The goon groaned, "Fine. Girl, I know your in here. Come out and we will give you some mercy" His voice echoed across the whole building. There was no way in hell she was going to fall for that. Her ears perked up when she heard a small squeak sound coming from the couch. Before she could see what, it was she felt something climb up her leg, a small grey furry creature. It was a rat, Ye-Ji screamed running out of her hiding place.

"Oh shit" she said once she realized that she gave away her cover. She dashed towards the exit, but they reacted more quicker and she felt a hand grip her shirt. "AHH, let go of me!" she said thrashing around in his hold.

He chuckled, "There's no way I'm doing that girly" pulling her against him. She kicked and punched anywhere she could as the two men held her down. She grabbed one's man arm and bit hard, not letting go. The man hissed, "Fuck! Bitch let go of me" the man punched her in the face with his other hand making her let go of his hand. Ye-Ji whimpered while Rick laughed at the man she bit, "She got you good" he said.

"Shut up, Mike." He said undoing his pants, Ye-Ji gut sank, as fear built up in her stomach. Rick started to take off her pants and she kept thrashing and kicking him. "Help! Help! Someone please help me!" she prayed to god or whoever was listening to help her. Mike covered her mouth and tears were coming out of her eyes, she felt worthless and sick to her stomach. Suddenly, Rick was punched away from her. "What the fuck?! Who are you?!" he said the mysterious man punched him right in the stomach. Mike's arms were no longer holding her down as he went to go help his buddy.

"Watch out!" Ye-Ji yelled. The mysterious man looked behind him and kicked him, making Mike fall to the ground. He brought his attention momentarily to Rick and punched him in the face again and kicking him over making him lose his balance. To say that the fight was a one-sided battle was an understatement. By the time he finished beating them up, Ye-Ji was sure they needed to be sent to the hospital. They were both knocked out cold.

"Thank you, for saving me" The mysterious man looked at her and began to walk away. "Wait, you're just going to leave? Shouldn't I call the police first? I might need your witness statement!" she trailed behind him. He stopped his tracks, "Report it but as far as I'm concerned, I was never here." His deep husky voice made me shiver. Looking at him more closely she could see he was Asian too. He had dark brown eyes that were dull and cold and full of pain. His lips were slightly plump but were in a flat line, frowning at her. His dark hair was straight but curved at the front ends of his hair. He was breathtaking, he was a man that had been through a lot that much she can tell. As he walked away, she didn't stop him this time instead all she said was, "Thank you"
