"Then we sat and ate at a park across the street.. He's so vivid Miracle.." I listened to Kayla express. Mentally rolling my eyes I just simply nodded.
"At least one of our love lives is planning out" I chuckled out while strolling alongside kayla, I felt her gaze upon me.
"Jeffery?"
"Girl, kicked his sorry ass to the curb" I spat. The fact that he put his hands on me really had me look at him differently.
"Hm, I think its time you start dating again" I looked over at Kayla and bursted into laughter.
"Wha- Why are you laughing? I'm serious"
"I know that's why its funny" She rolled her eyes at me and I shrugged. "Kayla not everyone can find a Chris" I mumbled out.
"Jealous much?" She giggled out.
"Not at all" I lied. Truth is, I find Chris very attractive and ever since that kiss we shared a couple months ago.. The feelings have just gotten stronger and stronger.
"Well I say just let me set you up on a date" I kissed my teeth.

"Oh girl hell naw"
"Miracle.." She breathed out holding in a small laugh.
"Nooo! No ma'am"
"Travis doesn't even look that bad anymore" She said handing me her phone, my eyes damn near popped out of my head.
"That... is not Travis"
"I know you wish that wasn't Travis" She giggled out slipping her phone back in her pocket.
"Talk about a makeover" I gasped.

Another day at work and today I got my first paycheck. I went to my boss' office and knocked on the door.
"Enter" I heard his stern voice before I walked in. "Ah Chris, you came to pick up your check?"
"Yes sir" I shakily breathed out trying to disguise the anxiety in my voice. Been so long since I've had my own money. He soon handed me my check.
"Keep up the good work son, and tell Miracle I appreciate bringing you to my service" I quickly nodded, "Thank you Mr. Sanders and will do" He nodded and I was on my merry way.
I walked my happy and paid ass inside the house. "Miracle!" She soon appeared from the kitchen. "Yes?" I just grabbed her and spun her around as she giggled.
"You won the lotto or sum?" she laughed out while I stopped spinning her, "No.. But I got my first paycheck and I owe it all to you man.. You took me and my baby in.. Feed me.. Bought me and Royalty new clothes and you're the reason I have this job in the first place.."
She stared at me and then gave me a warm smile. "And it was my pleasure but you don't have to spend your hard earned money on me.. Spend it on you and your daughter you guys deserve it"
She wrapped her arms around my shoulders and I comfortably snaked my arms around her torso, squeezing her tightly, speaking against her soft skin, "Thank you so much.."
