The rest of the day was pretty normal, I went to History, which Sean was in, and German, which pretty much everyone from my homeroom was in. I paid close attention in German, since I would have to catch up on all the other kids who had probably been learning it for years. The bell rang, and I hurried to my locker, forgetting about Sean wanting to walk me to practice. I packed my bag, and locked my locker back up. Sean waved me over, he was standing with Jordan.

"Hey, Madi! I'm still walking you back, right?"

"Of course! Jordan, you want to come with?" I asked.

"I guess. I don't really have anything better to do." He replied smugly. I had to restrain myself from completely flipping out on him. I wondered how Sean was so patient with him. We started to walk down the hallway, Jordan not really saying much, but Sean and I talking. I eventually found my dorm, where all my stuff was still in boxes. I sighed.

"Ugh, I have so much to do. Volleyball, school, unpacking all my crap. So overwhelming." I said. Sean and Jordan stood there kind of awkwardly, no knowing whether they should go in or stay outside. "Um, you guys can come in if you want. I gotta find my volleyball stuff and then change in the bathroom." I invited them in. I was happy there were no roommates, but the rooms were super close together. Boys rooms were on the left side, and girls' were on the right. I was right next to Sophie's, which was good.

"Geez, you sure do have a lot of stuff." Jordan commented, looking at my boxes. I rolled my eyes and ignored him. Sean didn't really say anything, he was helping me look for my volleyball box. He eventually found it, and gave it to me.

"Awesome! Thanks Sean. I appreciate the help." I said, directing it towards Jordan who was sitting on the floor on his phone. He didn't notice. "Can you grab the scissors over there?" Sean reached for them, but lost his balance and fell, causing boxes to tumble down. "Are you okay?" I asked, a bit frightened by the loud crash. He was laughing. "Okay, well I guess you are." I said, laughing along with him. Jordan lost it, falling to his side.

"Sorry Madi. I'm a bit clumsy." He said after getting up, embarrassed. He handed me the scissors and I started cutting open the box. Jordan's presence was starting to annoy me, because he wasn't doing anything.

"Okay Jordan, if you're not going to do anything you might as well leave." I said. The real reason I wanted him to leave was so I could stay with Sean. He got up and left without any hesitation, which shocked me. I continued going through my volleyball box, finding my shoes, socks, ankle braces, knee pads, spandex and my volleyball t-shirts. I took everything I needed and locked myself in the bathroom. Sean wasn't paying much attention, he was captivated by the pictures I had already put up. I changed quickly, grabbing my back and putting my hair up into a ponytail. I walked out to Sean examining a picture of me with my friends from where I used to live. Bryce was in it, and he took an interest to him.

"Who is that?" He asked, pointing to Bryce. I didn't notice his jealousy at first, I had grabbed my volleyball bag and water bottle.

"Oh... um, nobody. He was just someone I was friends with before I came here." He looked at me, knowing he wasn't hearing the full story. He dropped the subject though. For the first time, I realized he was a lot taller than me. I wasn't short, around 5 foot 5, but he was nearly 5 foot 10, close to 11. I reached for the door to leave, but he opened it for me.

"How chivalrous!" I said, with a fake British accent. He laughed and followed me out the door.

"So.. I haven't really gotten a chance to ask what you thought about Iliad. You're new here and all, and I've been here since freshman year." He said, proving his nature to be social.
