4:49 am, 2 hours and 11 minutes until the end of The Annual Purge.

I opened my eyes again and saw Kelsey sitting up, rubbing her head in pain. I had a sharp pain in my skull, too.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I think so," she replied. "I don't think anything's broken."

"Good. Do you know where we are?"

"No..."

I then looked and saw the doors at the back of the van were completely crumbled and open. I then grabbed Kelsey and we crawled out the door carefully. When we got out, I saw nothing but buildings. I looked and noticed we crashed into a tree. I could also see the driver a few yards away, not moving.

"Now what?" Kelsey asked.

"Let's check him out," I replied, referring to the dead driver. "Maybe he has a clue as to where Mark is."

"Okay..."

"Just stay by my side."

We then hustled over to him and I quickly halted as I saw his mangled corpse. I looked and Kelsey and saw she was turned away.

"It's okay," I told her. "Just stay calm."

I then walked over and looked at him. I wasn't exactly sure where to look for any signs of Mark's whereabouts. Suddenly, I heard what sounded like a phone ringing come from his pockets! I quickly reached in and pulled out a cell phone. I gasped. The caller ID said it was Mark! Without hesitation, I answered and remained silent.

"Clint?" I heard Mark's voice answer.

I gave no response.

"Clint?!" he asked again, only louder.

This time, I replied.

"Hello, Mark."

There was a long pause. It felt like it lasted forever. Then, there was a loud chuckle.

"Well, well, well," he said, "Looks like you managed to survive, James!"

"Where are you?!" I asked angrily.

"Whoa, calm down!" he replied. "No need to be angry!"

"Where are you?!" I asked again.

There was a pause and a sigh before he replied, "I'm in my office in The Willis Tower. But unless you have a death wish, I'd stay away."

I looked and turned towards Kelsey, who was sitting away from me, looking towards some skyscrapers. I then back towards the phone and quietly replied.

"Thanks to what you did last year, I DO have a death wish. I don't care if I survive tonight, as long as you don't, either!"

He then chuckled again.

"Good luck," he replied.

He then hung up. I deeply sighed and walked back towards Kelsey.

"Let's go," I told her.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

"To The Willis Tower."

"Really?!"

"Really!"

"YES!"

"SHHHHHHH!"

I put my hands over her mouth and looked around. Nobody was around. That was good. I wanted it to stay that way.

"Look," I whispered while still covering her mouth, "we need to stay quiet. We don't want to attract unwanted attention. Okay?"

She nodded in response.

"Good."

I then pulled my hands off.

"Let's go," I commanded. "We have a little over 2 hours to get there, find him, and kill him. Alright?"

"Alright!"

I then grabbed a gun off of Clint's belt and headed off. I could see The Willis Tower very clearly and it wasn't that far away. But that didn't mean getting there would be easy.
