Reno was at Paige's house sitting in her bedroom. Talking about what's going to happen now. Paige was going to school at the University of Utah, and Reno was about to start at BYU at the end of summer. They had to make this summer count. Reno had a plan, he felt the small velvet box in his pocket.
"How are we going to make this work?" Paige complained, flipping down on her bed.
"We've been through worse, we just need to think about our summer," Reno reassured, "I know it'll work out"
"You should hang out with your friends not just me." Paige said
"Why not both? They all love you." Reno rebutted,
"Well you know wha-" Paige was interrupted by a kiss. Reno held her face in his hands and felt her soft lips for the first time since he left.
"Well finally," Paige said staring into Reno's desert eyes, "I was wondering when you were gonna do that." She winked
Reno keep feeling the tiny blue velvet box, burning a hole in his jacket pocket. He kept thinking about it. It would make everything perfect. He would have his love of his life forever.
"What are you doing? You keep putting your hands in your pockets." Paige curiously looked at him,
"Oh, um, it's nothing my hands are just cold." Reno nervously answered
"Mhmm, yeah, sure. It's seventy degrees in here. I'm calling your bull."
"It's nothing, okay?"
"Mhmm,"
Paige pounced on him, pinning him to the ground. Reno was surprised but he was stronger than she was so she didn't have much time to find out what it was. She went straight to the jacket pocket, but she was stopped by Reno's large hands tickling the sides of her ribs. She was completely helpless. Reno kept tickling her. Paige's father walked up to the doorway, stopped, and slowly backed away from the couple.
"Reno! Stop! Stop!" Paige uncontrollably laughing,
"Mhmm," Reno stopped for a split second, "I don't think so."
Reno continued to tickle her until he got tired. He smiled, kissed her on the forehead, and laid down next to her.
"I'm so glad you aren't awkward like the other returned missionaries with their girlfriends." Paige smiled
"Me too." Reno took a deep breath, "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what's up?" Paige asked
"I'm going to need you to stand up." Reno said, shaking
