My eyes burn by this unknown light which suddenly woke me up. What kind of human would do such a thing?
"Si, dear time for school!" my mom yelled as I whine before covering my face with the sheet. Oh, of course, it'd be her.
"Mom!!!" I whined. I don't want to go to school when I have to see that maniac. "Silas Beckum Coleman if you don't roll out of the bed this instan-!" before she even got to finish I was out of bed running to the bathroom
"I thought so" she huffed before walking out of the room. After showering I quickly put on an outfit I had laid out on my bed for today.

Walking downstairs I couldn't help but hear my mom talking on the phone.
"I understand please just wait till I get the mon- but please... thank you!" she quickly hung up the phone before looking at me with a fake smile plaster on her face.
"Mom-" I try to say as she holds up her hands interrupting me. "Everything is fine Silas, " she says before grabbing her car keys.
"Ever since dad passed away you've been handling everything on your own it's time to let me help you" I consoled. " Silas I will not have you working out there, just focus on your school work so I could take care of us. The reason why I moved us out here is that I wanted to get us away from the city" she explains.
"Come let's get me to work and you to school, " She says before walking out the door with me following after.
As you heard my dad died when I was thirteen and ever since then my mom had been through a lot of stress. She works as a nurse so she's barely home like today. Usually, I would have to wake myself up and drive myself to school since she leaves the car with me.
I've tried to tell her I can work too but she says that it's a parents job to take care of their kids.
Stopping the car at the hospital she smiles and gets out the car before I got out after her.
Hoping inside the driver side my mom quickly had me the keys. "You know the rules," she says handing me the keys before grabbing her nurse bag then running off.
Turning the car back on I then made my way on to school.
