Chapter 3

Gingerpaw woke in the apprentice den to see oakpaw had moved his nest next to hers, confused she pondered why he would do that, shaking it away she got up and stretched. Padding out of the apprentice den she padded to Whisperstar who was obviously waiting for her, "are you ready?" Her mentor asked. She nodded, "Yes Whisperstar, I am ready." It had been five moons since she was made apprentice, and with that flowerpaw, sunpaw and oakpaw were to be made warriors any day now, a pang of jealousy hit her but she pushed it away quickly, she should be happy for her friends. Shaking her head the caught up to whisperstar who had started towards the training hollow while she sat there thinking, once she caught up she meowed, "what am I doing today?" What her mentor said next surprised her, "gingerpaw you will be fighting one on three against oakpaw, sunpaw and flowerpaw, because even though you were made apprentice five moons ago moons and them six you know more." She gaped at het mentor, "ok... i'll try." She mewed. They arrived to the training hollow to see oakpaw, flowerpaw and sunpaw sitting and waiting, they jumped up when they saw her, but it was oakpaw who spoke, "h-hello g-gingerpaw." He stuttered nervously and then flowerpaw smirked and pushed him in a teasing way which made oakpaw glare at flowerpaw, gingerpaw laughed at the siblings behavior and waited for the practice battle to start. Whisperstar padded up and meowed, "oakpaw, sunpaw, flowerpaw you three are almost warriors, you three will be fighting gingerpaw." Then she turned to gingerpaw and nodded she gulped as whisperstar meowed again, "remember keep your claws sheathed at all time, this is practice not real. If I see the slightest glint of claw I will hold your warrior cermony back for three more months, ready... set... FIGHT!" Gingerpaw bunched her muscles and waited, she was tackled by one cat who was sunpaw, she flung her friend off of her before spinning and knocking flowerpaw away from her counter attack her pink gazed snapped around to see oakpaw flying at her a smirk on his face she smirked back and jumped into the air flying over him her paws caught him and they landed in a tussle, once she got him pinned she smiled and oakpaw purred, she leapt off of him as oakpaw knew he was beat she leapt onto flowerpaws back and flipped her over, she kicked her away. That leaves sunpaw, she looked around looking for his fiery red pelt spotting it she leapt and bowled him over and pinned him, when a voice spoke up, "alright thats enough, gingerpaw won!" Whisperstar declared. She gasped she had done it leaping off of sunpaw and onto oakpaw she purred and smiled at him, what he said shocked her..... || A/N: cliffhanger! What do you think he'll say? Something mean, or something sweet? As you know i'm still a beginner and i'm sorry for any misspells and bad grammar as it is not my strong suit in school, also I may not update much after the 25th as thats when my school starts, BUT I PROMISE I'LL TRY!!! <--- only if you want me too that is...
