Dino x Reader
When Ashley was young, she found out her soulmate bond. She saw the world through the eyes of her soulmate when she fell asleep- and vice versa. She was really confused when she heard a bunch of foreign words that weren't English. She found out the language was Korean from trusty google translate. She knew when her soulmate was watching when a tingly feeling appeared in her neck.
When Ashley was a bit older she tried to pick up some Korean and noticed her soulmate trying his hand at a bit of English, he quickly gave up though. Ashley couldn't blame him though, it was hard enough for her to speak English and she lived in California.
One thing they both had in common was there love for dance. They both started dancing at a young age and immediately loved it. They enjoyed watching the other through the mirror, being able to see how their soulmate looked.
Ashley was blown away with how her soulmate looked, he was pretty cute. One day the scenery changed and see saw him living with thirteen other boys.
And Dino couldn't get enough of how cute his soulmate looked. He always looked forwards to seeing his soulmate when he was asleep. One particular time shocked him. When he fell asleep, he was in a pool. His soulmate had decided to take diving lessons.
Ashley loved diving. Well except when she would slap on the water, but it happened. Ashley almost loved it as much as she did dancing. But to her, nothing could top dancing. She had been diving for three years now and was on her high school team when disaster struck. The team was doing dryland training by running around the school when Ashley's knee suddenly buckled and she fell to the ground. When she looked down, she nearly threw up. Her knee was defiantly not in the right spot. Her teammates crowded her concerned and a familiar tingle appeared on the back of her neck.
Dino was horrified this wasn't what he wanted to see when he fell asleep. About after a half an hour Ashley had gotten to the hospital and her knee was put back into place. They told her she couldn't do anything that had to do with putting weight on it. She burst into tears then and there, she couldn't dance. She couldn't dance.
Almost immediately he was shaken awake. Hoshi looking at him in concern. Dino's face was slick with tears. "Are you okay?" He asked.
Dino numbly shook his head. "She can't dance."
"Who can't dance?" The8 asked from his spot in the studio.
"My soulmate." Came the response. Instantaneously a sharp breath came from the rest of the performance team. Dino tended not to talk about his soulmate bond, because he felt that you were his, not anyone else's.
Jun asked, "She dances?" Dino mutely nodded. He was worried sick about you.
Other Ashley's end, it was about 2 weeks after the incident when she learned she'd have to have surgery on her knee and would be out of dance and diving for about four more months. So to make her feel better she started binge watching YouTube videos. Then she found K-Pop. It was a link to a music video that looked somewhat like her soulmate.
"Slip into the diamond life." Started the song. Soon after she saw someone who looked exactly like her soulmate. Ashley's jaw dropped. A few moments later Ashley's soulmate appeared looking through her eyes.
She spoke. "My dude you got serious moves."
After that moment she started to think about how to get to her soulmate. The next day she had surgery on her knee putting her in a full leg brace. She had asked the doctor if it was okay for her to fly on a plane.
The doctor said it was as long as she worked her leg before and after she landed. And that she used her crutches. As soon as Ashley got home she went to book the soonest plane ticket to Korea.
Dino on the other hand was bouncing around as soon as he woke up. Woozi told him to shut up, but he didn't. He was so excited that his soulmate was coming to South Korea.
A week later she was prepared for the plane and boarded. Ashley decided to take a nap. And when she looked through Dino's eyes. She saw him bouncing all around the practice room.
"My soulmate is coming!" He kept singing. And boy half of his members were excited, the others were started to get mad at his cheering.
Ashley felt someone shaking her and woke up. It was a flight attendant saying they had landed. "Thank you." She said in Korean and headed out to get her luggage. It was pretty hard and annoying to do with her crutches, but she managed.
Once Ashley got her luggage she called over a taxi and they drove her over to Pledis Entertainment. On the way there they asked her why she was going there. She simply responded that her soulmate was there. The driver laughed at her and that was the end of their conversation.
Ashley grabbed her luggage from the trunk and hauled it inside. She walked up to the receptionist.
"Hello how may I help you?" She asked kindly.
"Oh- yea. Um, my soulmate is here. I don't know his name though." Ashley said smiling.
"Oh really? What's you connection?"
"We see each other through dreams. And I saw him in this building often."
The receptionist nodded. Ashley let out a sigh of relief, they believed her. "Do you know anything else about them?"
"Uhhh. They are around a bunch of other boys. Maybe 10 or 12."
The receptionist's face lit up. "Oh that must be Seventeen's group! I'll ring them." She picked up the phone and started talking. "You can take a seat they'll be down soon."
So Ashley crutched over to a chair and sat down tired.
Dino had gotten the call that possibly one of the member's soulmate was at Pledis. He immediately sprinted out the practice room door. When he finally made it to the lobby he was panting because he ran so hard. He saw a girl with a bag and crutches, in a full leg brace.
They both stared at each other. After a moment they both launched towards each other, Ashley momentarily forgetting about the brace. They both ran into each others arms.
Once they pulled away Dino spoke, "I'm Dino. Nice to meet you soulmate!"
Ashley laughed and it was like music to Dino's ears. "I'm Ashley. It's nice to meet you to." She smiled at him. Ashley quickly pressed her lips against Dino's and pulled away grinning. Dino's face was bright pink.
"I can finally see you, not just through a dream."
