The Next Morning [chapter 2]

After Hank went to bed, Connor spent his time picking up around the house, such as throwing away extra pizza boxes and such. He wondered when he would visit Jericho next and talk to Markus and North. North probably still didn't like him, which is understandable considering he worked for the enemy and almost blew off her boyfriend's head if he hadn't been such a great speaker....What if he had killed Markus? How much would have changed if he didn't become a deviant. It was a dark and negative thought which roamed around his head. He would have to thank Markus for helping him break free of his programming. Well..most of it. The very thought of being trapped in the snowy garden as his body remained in Cyberlife's clutches haunts him. He had done what they wanted. What if he was still just following their agenda? What if him moving in with Hank was just part of Cyberlife's scheme. No, he escaped the program, worse comes to worst he could just escape it again now that he knew where it was thanks to Kamski. He also had to thank Kamski for letting him know. Why did he let him know..did he know that Amanda would take control was he apart of the plan all along and just reported back to cyberlife! No! Connor paced around the room a new nervous tick he had developed over the past few days after watching people in the Detroit police....could he go back back to working?
"Nnnnnnnng..."

"Good morning Hank!" Connor looked behind him to see Hank slowly moving into the living room.
"Hey Con" Hank grabbed the remote and turned on the TV
The scene of the revolution still has gunshots into the ground which is harming the enviro-

"More of this crap?" Hank groaned again, "I'm too old for this." He started to turn off the TV..

This just in Cyberlife...

"Hank!" Connor smacked the remote out of the old mans hand setting a reminder to apologize later.

Has assured the public that this problem should not continue and they will regain control shortly. They haven't mentioned how, just the phrase 'as it shall be'

"Gain control..." Connor's Led started to flash red as the memories of before flooded in.

"Connor.....Connor...CONNOR! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" Hank's temper went unchecked at the red light.

"I apologize lieutenant..I just thought of unpleasant memories."

"Of?"

"..."

"I know I am not the best or easiest person to talk to. I may not even be a good person to talk to. However I know that you won't talk to anyone about emotions. I'd do the same. But it is important to not hold them in, or well, you'll end up like me."

"Hank...Well it all started at Markus's speech to his people...."
Connor explained of the full event in detail due to his memory functions. Each detail increasing the size of Hank's scowl.
"Damn it Connor why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I didn't have a reason to."

"Either way, it sounds as if your out. Have you been back to this garden ever since well you know?"

"No. However that doesn't mean I'm not at risk I had been following Cyberlife's plan all along. Hell I was supposed to be a deviant to help them! I was still their soldier and probably still am! And I am not going to have more deaths be on me because I couldn't realize that I was going into a simple trap. I could be putting you in danger Hank! I shouldn't have even accepted to live here, it's part of their plan. I wouldn't have even escaped if Kamski...."

Hank brought his finger up to Connor's lips. "Con, I'm going to need you to relax and trust me on this. I am not going to let Cyberlife get to you again, and I am positive that Markus or the others will let you either. I chose for you to move into this house so any damage done is on me, not you. Understand?"

"I...I..yes, I understand" That I can't put you in danger.

"Good now lets go." Hank said over his shoulder as he set off towards the garage.

"Go?"

"You wanted to see Kamski, didn't you?"

Connor had almost forgotten over his own troubles and thoughts. "Yes!"
