[Cloud Kingdom]
Chaos.
Nothing but chaos at the once so peaceful Cloud Kingdom. People were running away in fear. Away from danger, death and darkness. The square in front of the palace was one big battlefield. From men to women, children to the elderly, no one was spared in this battle against the Shadow creatures from the Realm of Darkness. Their lifeless bodies drained from their Shining Light, the life force of these people. Now their cold hearts were only filled with darkness, their bodies awaiting their new form as a part of Queen Anima's Shadow Army."T-this is horrible!.." a soldier spoke terrified as he witnessed the tragedy from behind one of the many destroyed buildings. "How could this have happened!? These creatures couldn't have broken through the barrier! The light should have burned them!" "Figuring out how they got in isn't our only problem at the moment" another soldier spoke. "We have to make sure no one else will fall prey to these monsters! Does anyone know how the royal family is doing?"
"No, sir."
"We haven't had an update from the guards at the palace for a while, sir." "For heaven's sake.. Can this day get any worse!?" the guard yelled in anger. "Sir Godfrey! Sir Godfrey!" They heard the voice of another soldier who came running towards them. "Sir Godfrey, we got an update from the guards at the palace!.." the soldier said while catching his breath. "The.. the.. the prince and princess are missing!.."Sir Godfrey's skin turned three shades whiter as he felt his knees giving in. "This.. this can't be!.. Without the princess' Light we are-.."
"T-they must be here somewhere, sir! We can't give up on them yet!" One of Godfrey's soldiers said, trying to keep the hope up.A boy with silver-colored hair stood on top of the mountain behind the palace, looking down at the destruction. "We're not save here, Aurora. I've got to get you out of here.." He looked at the young girl he held in his arms. ''You are the kingdom's only hope after all.. Little sister.''
[Akarui City, Ryuusei Orphanage]
''Good morning, Momoko! I hope you slept well. Today is the big day!'' A young girl with long wavy orange hair walked into the bedroom of a small girl. ''Big sis Mimi?..'' Momoko, the little girl, spoke sleepy and confused. She rubbed her eyes for a few seconds.
"It's a beautiful day outside" Mimi continued as she opened the curtains. "The sun is shining, it is dry outside, and it is just warm enough to walk around without a jacket. Just like you wished for!" She looked over her shoulder as she could see Momoko sitting on her bed with a smile on her face. "Does that mean we can celebrate my party in the garden, big sis Mimi?" the small girl asked. "I will have to ask Madame Kurosawa first, but I don't think that will be a problem" Mimi said as she patted Momoko's head. "Why don't you go change into that beautiful dress Madame got you? Then I will see you at breakfast, okay?" Momoko nodded in agreement. "I will."It was a special day at the Ryuusei Orphanage. One of the children just got adopted and today was her farewell party. Mimi was one of the many orphans who lived there and was also the one who stayed there the longest. Madame Kurosawa, the owner of the orphanage, grew fond of her and treated Mimi as if she were her own granddaughter.
Speaking of which, Madame Kurosawa's grandchildren Soramaru -a fifteen-year-old boy-, and Mayu -a ten-year-old girl- stayed with her and helped out at the orphanage. The small family of three had taken Mimi into their hearts.
Cutting back to the party, there still was a lot to do. They had to bake cupcakes, decorate the garden.. Mimi made a list in her head of what she could do to help. But first she had to tell Madame Kurosawa about Momoko's request."Ah, Madame Kurosawa!" Mimi yelled as she ran towards the old lady. "O my. Good morning to you, Mimi" Madame Kurosawa said with a soft smile. "Good morning, Madam" Mimi responded friendly as she smiled to the woman in return. "Momoko would like to celebrate her party in the garden. Would that be okay?" "If that is what the young girl wants then we shall grant her wish" Madame Kurosawa said as she laughed a little. "It is her party after all." "I think she will be glad to hear that." "Glad to hear what?" the voice of a young girl asked. "O, Mayu. Good morning!" A young girl with long light brown hair stood next to Mimi, looking at her and Madame Kurosawa as she waited for an answer to her question.
"We will be celebrating Momoko's party in the garden. I just asked Madame if it was okay." "The garden? Do we have good weather today?" Mayu asked as she searched around for a window to look through. "Speaking of the garden-.." Mimi started, ".. We have to start preparing things. Is Soramaru awake?'' ''I just saw Sora-nii going outside'' Mayu responded. ''Maybe he's with the animals?''
