Chapter 1 Prologue

Amano's POV

My alarm clock beeped loudly, waking me up from my peaceful sleep. I sit up, rubbing my eyes as I look down at my annoying alarm clock that was still beeping.

Why is my alarm set to 6 am? That's way too early. I wonder to myself. Then the realization hit me.

School. Aw crap.

I turn off my alarm and grab my glasses. Slowly making my way to my closet and getting dressed.

I hated school. Entirely too many people. It's not that I hated people. I hated socializing with people because I never knew what to say or how to say something. What's worse is I'll be starting freshman year at a new school called Prague High School. I have been memorizing the map of the school and my schedule for the past 3 weeks, so getting lost is not a problem. But people. I have no friends.

I finished getting ready and put my shoes on by the front door. I stand up and face the decorative mirror that I had by the front door. I say to myself "I don't need friends." I smile to myself. I have never need friends, so why would I need them now? I'm just fine all by myself. I grab my backpack and walk outside and lock the door. Then I headed off to school.

Rei's POV

"REI GET UP AND GET DRESSED NOW!! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" My mum yelled from downstairs in the kitchen. I groaned loudly.

"REI SO HELP ME-" My mom yelled.

"I'M UP! I'M UP!" I yelled. Then I said to myself "Sheesh." I got dressed and went downstairs into the kitchen to eat breakfast. Today I was starting at my freshman year at Prague High School, and I was dreading it.

"WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST?" I asked over the loud sizzling of what I assume is bacon.

"BACON, EGGS, AND TOAST!" My mom yelled.

I sat down at the breakfast table in the kitchen right next to my older brother, Akio and waited to be served breakfast

"Go wake up your younger brother, Hikaru when you're done, Kei." "Ugh. That baka still isn't up yet?" I finished my breakfast and went upstairs to Hikaru's room.

I started banging on his door

I started banging on his door. "HEY! BAKA AWAKE UP!" I yelled. "Ugh. Such a pain." I said before going into Hikaru's room. Like usual, the idiot was still sound asleep. It took a lot to wake up Hikaru. I was going to shake him roughly to wake him up when I noticed he was having a nightmare. He was shaking, with beads of sweat on his forehead. A fearful and pained expression on his face. The little lolita was muttering "No. No. Nooo."

I shook him violently, calling his name "HIKARU!" On the third calling, he awoke with a start. He shuddered and looked around the room fearfully.

When he saw me his eyes teared up. "Onii-chan." Hikaru latched onto me tightly.

"Did you have another nightmare?" I asked, concerned.

He sniffled and nodded. "Yes, but it wasn't really vivid, so don't worry."

Of course, I started worrying, but I put on a reassuring smile and said softly, "Okay then, but get ready for school."

Hikaru got ready for school and him and I walked to school together, but I couldn't shake the feeling something bad is gonna happen.
