Amano's POV
Monday morning went really well. I held the scrolling device to scroll through our presentation on the big screen, while Kei explains everything because I told him I wouldn't be able to talk in front of the class.
He did a really good job. While I just stood next to him and clicked when he was done with a slide.
I did nothing. I am so useless.
I thought as we sat down. Everyone else presented and then at the end of class Mrs. Kobayoshi announced everyone's grades. We got a 94! Yay!
I looked over at Kei when Mrs. Kobayoshi said our grade and he looked happy. He caught me looking at him. I blushed and turned away.
"You did a great job." He said sweetly.
Did I hear that right?!
"M-M-M-Me?! B-bb-but I-I didn't d-do a-a-anything! Y-You d-dd-did ah-all th-the wor-work!" I stuttered.
"Not true," he replied, "You did all the work. All I did was do the design and present it."
I blushed and sat there. I had no comeback. "Th-Thank y-you."
He smiled. "You're Welcome." Then it's as if he just realized what he said and regretted it. Kei looked away. "Yeah, whatever."
I became confused and gave him a confused look when he looked back at me, but he just gave me an annoyed expression.
I turned away and paid attention to Mrs. Kobayoshi until the bell rang.
I got up and left.
At lunch, I saw Kei sitting where he usually sits. I walked up to Kei and pointed to the spot next to him.
"C-Can I sit he-here," I asked.
Kei looked up at me slightly annoyed and sizes me up as I stood there waiting for him to deny.
To my surprise, Kei shrugged. "Sure."
I happily sat next to him and pulled out my own book and read it.
That was our lunch from then on. I sat next to him every day and as long as I didn't talk, Kei didn't get mad. Sometimes Kei would read, sometimes he would play on a Nintendo.
