"We believe the Seven Lords Of Telmar fled to the Lone Islands." I explained.
"What's east of that?" Lucy asked.
"Uncharted waters. Tales of sea serpents and such." Drinian, the captain, answered.
"Sea serpents?" Edmund asked unbelievably.
"Alright Captain, enough of your tales." Caspian said with a smirk.
We laughed it off and soon I exited the room for fresh air. I controlled the wheel as the crew and Drinian watched Caspian and Edmund sword fight. This was not anything exciting to me because I had seen both of them practice before. After their little duel ended in a tie, Drinian took back the wheel and I walked down the steps to Edmund.
He drank from a cup of water as we leaned against the railing side by side.
"I'm glad you didn't have to wait a hundred years for me this time." Ed stayed with a small smile. I returned the gesture and faced him.
"Yeah, but I would've waited anyway."
He chuckled and looked down briefly at my lips. He set his cup down to the side. I could tell that he wanted to kiss me and I wanted to kiss him too. We both leaned into each other, my hands on his chest, his on my waist. Almost touching, but not quite.
We didn't connect because of an annoying voice from behind Edmund.
"I see you're all still talking nonsense."
I looked behind Ed and saw the boy we had taken in. Their cousin, Eustace, but according to Edmund his name was brat. Lucy joined us by our side.
"Are you feeling better?" she asked politely.
"Yes, no thanks to you. It's lucky I have an iron constitution." he said.
Edmund picked up a cup of water and began to take a drink.
"As effervescent as ever, I see. Finally found your sea legs?" Reep teased.
"Never lost them. Still dealing with the shock of things. Mother says I have an acute disposition..due to my intelligence." Eustace bragged.
At the intelligent part, Edmund spit his water back as to not choke from laughing and I snorted lightly.
"I don't think he has a cute anything."
"I'll have you know, as soon as we find civilization, I am contacting the British Counsel and having you arrested for kidnapping!" he exclaimed. During his mini tantrum, he ran smack into Caspian's chest and stumbled back a bit.
"Kidnapping, is it? That's funny. I thought we saved your life." the king remarked.
"You held me against my will! In, what I must say, the most unhygienic quarters. It's like a zoo down there!" he complained.
"He's quite the complainer, isn't he?" Reep commented.
"He's just warming up." Ed stated.
"Let me take a try at him and he will forever shut up." I said.
"Oh please, be my guest." Edmund begged.
"And not to mention that everyone thinks you two are royalty. Oh and I suppose your imaginary girlfriend is here too?" Eustace said sarcastically.
I pushed myself off the railing and crossed my arms. Caspian backed up while everyone contained a small grin.
"Imaginary? If this was real, what makes you think that this girl isn't?" I questioned.
