He'll never love you.

He's not coming back.

You're stuck here forever.

You don't deserve a happy ending.

I woke with a start and began panting from my horrid nightmare. Every horrible memory, thought, action that ever occurred in my life came back to me. I removed the covers and made my way down the hall and to where Edmund and Caspian were sleeping.

Edmund was squirming in his hammock and so was Caspian.

"Ed. Edmund wake up." I shook his shoulder.

Caspian was mumbling his father's name.

"Edmund!"

He woke with a gasp and grabbed his sword, putting it to my neck. He realized it was me and put it down, softly apologizing.

"I can't sleep." I said.

Lucy joined us and Caspian woke with a start too.

"Let me guess, bad dreams?" Ed asked.

We all nodded our heads.

"So either we're all going mad, or something is playing with our minds."

I laid down with Edmund in his hammock and Lucy eventually went back to check on Gael.

"You stay ashore and try to find food. The three of us will search for clues." I ordered Reep.

"Hold on you mean the four of us?" Eustace piped up. We all looked back to him in confusion.

"Come on, please don't send me back to the rat." he begged.

"I heard that." Reep said.

"Big ears." Eustace mumbled.

"I heard that too."

I chuckled along with everyone else as we finally made it to shore.

We found a hole with a cave underneath it, but a rope was already tied near it to get down. We assumed it was the lords so we went down.

There was water in the cave with a gold statue in the water. Edmund pulled a stick and dipped it in the water. When it touched the water, it started to turn it to gold.

He let go before it reached his hand.

"He must've fallen in." I said.

"Poor man." Lucy said.

"You mean poor lord." Ed corrected.

"The crest of Lord Restimar. And his sword. We need it."

Edmund dipped his sword in the water and gently lifted the other sword out of the water.

"How come your sword didn't turn to gold?" Lucy asked.

"Both the swords are magical." I explained.

"He must've not known what hit him." Lucy said, still staring at the statue.

"Maybe. Or maybe he was onto something." Ed said, picking up a conch shell. He dipped it in the water and then set it down, watching it turn to gold.

"Whoever has access to this pool, could be the most powerful person in the world. Lucy, we'd be so rich. No one could tell us what to do or who to live with." Edmund said, starting to look power hungry.

"You can't take anything out of Narnia." Caspian reminded.

"Says who?"

"I do."

That's when I knew it wasn't going to end good. Edmund picked up his sword and walked toward Caspian.

"I am not your subject."

"You've been waiting for this, haven't you? To challenge me, you doubt my leadership." Caspian challenged.

"You doubt yourself."

"You're a child."

"And your a spineless sap."

They insulted each other back and forth. Lucy and I tried to intervene but they ignored us.

"I'm tired of playing second fiddle. First it was Peter and now it's you! I deserve to have a kingdom of my own! I deserve to rule!"

Caspian let out a battle cry and they both put their swords up to attack. I stepped in between both of them.

"Enough!" I shouted.

They seemed to be taken aback a bit so I used it to knock some sense into them.

"Can't you see what's happening? This place is tempting you. It's bewitching you. This is exactly what Coriakin was warning us about. Now unless you want me to take you both down, I suggest we leave. Now." I scolded.

I walked away and climbed up the rope, Edmund in suite.

"Wait! Vianna." Edmund begged. I kept walking away with an aggravated sigh.

"I don't want to hear it Edmund. Save it for a time when we're not busy." I dismissed.

We made our way back to the crew. They told us the food was volcanic. Along with Eustace being missing. Edmund and Caspian went back to find him. Lucy and I stayed to help load the boats.

They took us back to the Dawn Treader where we heard a roar. A dragon came around and I grabbed a bow and arrow from near me. I aimed and fired at his feet and arms so it would let go of the mast. Along with the help of Reep, we managed to get it off.

I saw it leave and then come back around with Edmund in it's hands. We rushed to shore, only to find out that the dragon was Eustace.

"We'll stay here until morning. Figure out what to do." Caspian decided.

"But you have no food. No means of staying warm your majesty." Mr. Rhince said.

Eustace the dragon blew out a flame onto wood and a fire sprung.

"You were saying?" Reep asked.

We laughed and settled down to sleep. I cuddled into Edmund's chest again and closed my eyes.

•••••••••

I woke up to Lucy shouting about the blue star. We could see it now and we rowed to the Dawn Treader to get sailing.

There was no wind so the men had to painfully row for a long time. I, yet again, offered to help but they refused me again.

"I swear, if I get any hungrier, I'm gonna eat that dragon!" a crew member threatened.

Apparently Eustace was done being insulted because he grabbed the front of the ship with his tail and dragged us through the water.

We finally arrived to Ramandu's Island, it's dark and abandoned look made it feel evil. We walked through the vines until we reached a table with food along it and a larger table at the end. Edmund flashed his torch over it and we saw three men covered in vines.

We gasped in shock until we identified them as the lords. One of them let out a breath and I jumped back from the cool contact.

"They're breathing."

"So are they." Ed pointed out.

"They're under a spell." I examine.

"It's the food!" Caspian shouts. The crew members who had food in their hands dropped it. Edmund noticed an object laying on the table and realized why it was so familiar.

"Hey, that's the stone knife. This is Aslan's Table!"
