*Sam POV*
The relaxed state I was in lasted for about a hour. I tuned out all the sounds around me but the water and just sat their soaking it all in. I haven't relax like that in a long time because I never found a place so peaceful along my journey. Standing up I shook my legs off and placed my boots back onto my feet. As I laced up my shoes I felt a knot form in my stomach like someone was watching me. Wiping off my knees I turned my head to see a grey wolf running off to my left.
My heart started to beat faster as my head started to pound. No this can not be good. One side of my brain is saying I can't be caught now since I have gotten so far, and I just want to be safe and stop running away for once in my life. But the other is screaming I have to run away, and that I'm not ready for this. The grey wolf probably went to the alpha to get help into catching me.
I didn't notice the salty tears running down my cheeks as I started to run away from the river. I ran in the opposite direction going deeper into the forest. Running through the trees twigs and leaves got tangled in my long hair.I could hear a faint barking noise coming from behind me. The snarling and pounding of footsteps made me pump my legs faster against the dirt. I need to go faster.
Stripping off my shirt I shifted in mid air forgetting and not caring I ripped my other articles of clothing in the process. Since the sun has gone down I knew I had the advantage with my night vision. My heart was slamming against my chest while my lungs were starting to scream for air but this wolf wouldn't give up! How could he still see me? I blended in so well with the darkness surronding me. I could tell he was going at full speed so I used a tactic I learned in my two years of running, I stopped in my tracks and moved to the left watching the wolf with the same exact dark obsidian fur run straight past me.
Turning around I took off in the direction of the river. Jumping into the water I try my best to hide my scent. I didn't hear any footsteps running around so I relaxed my tense muscles and took the breather my lungs definitely needed. I got out of the stream and shook my fur off.
Padding happily back to where I left my backpack I started to think where should I go next. Picking up the Jansport black bag with my mouth I jogged further into the woods away from where I had my encounter with the black furred wolf. Out of nowhere something that felt like a freight train knocked into me full force making me hit a giant tree to the left of me.
The wind was knocked out of my lungs and I heard a slight crack. There was a sharp pain in my side but there wasn't much of an injury. The tree was more injuried than I was because of the giant crack in its side. My mind screamed for me to look up at other giant creature that hit me but I was scared. I didn't want to look up, I couldn't. I winced sucked it up as I lifted my head meeting the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.
These amber eyes I stared into made me shiver and whole body fill with a pleasure I never experienced before. I couldn't look away my body and soul seemed drawn to him. His eyes mesmorized me and held a look of pure passion and lust. The wolf currently in front of me had the same pitch black fur I had. This was the wolf chasing me! He just doesn't give up! I saw him clear as day in the night which was very strange. Was he seeing the same thing? Did he like what he saw? I was very confused. My mind was all over the place and my heart was threatening to beat out of my chest.
Leaning my back against the tree I tried to get as away from him as I could. I needed to stay strong, he didn't scare me. I wasn't going to be helpless again. I will not be told what to do by anyone ever again. He moved closer to me probably to get a better look at my features. As he did this I took my head knocked it into his. He recoiled back in pain and took I few steps back. I used his pained state to get into an attack position. Yes he was bigger but I knew I was smarter and faster then him. He looked at me with confusion in his eyes with a mix of hurt.
I growled at what he was thinking, why would he feel hurt? He was the one that attacked me. The wolf snarled back at me feeling disrespected by my attitude. Good maybe he shouldn't feel like such a big stuck up Alpha. He lunged forward and I moved out of the way just in time before he could sink his teeth into my shoulder. I swung around jumping on his back feeling tingles of pleasure jump around on my skin and fur. Ignoring the shocks I bit down in his shoulder..hard.
He didn't seem to care I was currently attacking his shoulder and making blood run down his front paws. My shoulder started to feel a slight pain and buzz as I bit down harder. What the hell was happening? He isn't attacking me why am I getting hurt?
The dark furred wolf threw me off of him not to hard but still shake me up as he pinned me to the ground with a deep growling noise coming from his chest. The snarl coming from him made me turn my head over and stop fighting against him showing signs of submission. What the hell! I'm not doing this fight back! This is a disaster. He looked down at me and gave me a look asking me to shift back. I whimpered and moved my eyes over to my backpack.
He turned his head to where I was looking and let me out of his grasp letting me retrieve some clothes. I went behind a tree and shifted back into human form breathing heavily. Putting on a long white T-shirt and some old pajama shorts I get out from behind the tree. My eyes buldged out of their head when right in front of me I see a man who looked taller than 6ft in front of me wearing only basketball shorts.
He looked to good to be true. His thick wavy brown hair fell a little long but looked sexy as hell. What why did I just say that. This isn't good why does he have to look so good in only a pair of basketball shirts though. I looked up to see his amber eyes staring at me making me feel exposed. I could feel my body tempertature rising. I started to examine his face. I memorized all the small details of his face such as the two big freckles under his right eye and long J-shaped scar on his left jawline.
My eyes traveled down to his strong defined chest and abs. His arms buldged out since he had them crossed over his chest looking at me intensly. My eyes strayed down and I stopped myself before I got to far. My face flared red as I looked up to see him staring at me basically memorize every single part of his body. He had a smug look on his face that I wanted to slap right off. He was making me feel this way. It's all his fault.
Footsteps rang throught the forest as he stepped closer and closer to me. Stopping right before our noses touched he looked into my eyes with his intense amber orbs and said in barley a whisper "Mate."
