Animalistic

Max and more at Dunkin Donuts

     The elevator reaches the first floor with a 'ding' and opens. There Max and Shimmer are greeted by Aaron, along with Vali, a bat, and Nathan, a dog. Aaron runs up and hugs them both, in an unusually excited mood. Aaron is almost always happy, rarely seen not joking around and laughing, but he isn't normally found jumping up and down. Max is tired, but he's glad to see his friends so happy.

     "Are you ready to have fun today?" Max asks, still sleepy. 

     "Y E A H !" Aaron almost-yells. He follows it up with a short howl, triggering about half the building to do the same.  

      Vali, covering his ears, gestures for everyone to quiet down. Nathan is staring intensely at her phone, allegedly ordering an uber.  Everyone takes a seat in the lobby, trying not to get asked to leave this time. Honestly, the only reason Max hasn't been kicked out at this point is Volio.

     As all five attempt to fit in their uber driver's car, with Aaron and Max squished into one seat, they make their way over to Dunkin Donuts. Aaron is blasting Running in the 90s, and Shimmer is almost crying over a youtube video she found. 

-another time skip because while we have a lot of car scenes and I dont't want to write them right now-

     Inside the restaurant/store(?) they choose the same table as always, fortunately empty. Max puts pack of ramune in the center of the table, and everybody else immediately scrambles to open it. The loud "PoP" of the marble is heard throughout the entire building. 

"What do ya'll want?" asks Aaron as he stands up. Shimmer just grabs him by the arm and pulls him back down, not letting him pay for everyone on his birthday. Vali volunteers to go instead, which was new for him, considering he usually tried to avoid all forms of stranger interaction.
