Standing outside his own room, Max really questions how he managed to forget his key. He looks over at Aaron standing next to him, who reaches into his pocket and pulls out the same key.
"You've really got to stop leaving things at Dunkin Donuts."
"Do I really need to bring up the 7/11 incident?"
"Ouch. Holding grudges, man."
Max takes the key from his friend's hand and unlocks the door. He opens it to find Volio watching some sort of anime on the TV, with cheeto dust everywhere on their face. Volio turns to face Max and Aaron, who don't say anything.
"Where did ya'll go?" Volio decides to say, neglecting the orange mess on the bedsheets. "Max, I've been meaning to talk to you. And Aaron,..... Happy Birthday."
"Thanks"
Volio gestures for the two to sit on the edge of the bed with them. "You probably already know about Cas, right?" "Yeah." Responds the light-gray wolf. The two sit down, and Volio begins to explain what everyone was already wanting to know.
"So, I've been receiving rather threatening emails from this 'Cas' for a few weeks now, but I didn't say anything about it, considering I just got back in the country yesterday. I don't really know her, but I think she's upset with you, Max. When I couldn't find you after your show, I saw the whole "emo kangaroo" thing you guys were joking about that one time, and already knew what must've happened. She was talking to her little gang, you see, and I think I heard them making fun of Max's spots-"
"I have very fashionable spots, thank you."
"Lovely, Max, but I wasn't done." The rabbit says.
"Sorry....."
"I know it sounds strange, but I followed her home, since I wanted to take care of the email thing anyway, and noticed the front door wide open. I went inside, and noticed Max on the kitchen floor. I helped him up, and walked him to my van. I put him in the back and left as fast as I could. I didn't want to get the police involved, especially with Max's background."
The lavender rabbit went silent, looking down at their hands.
"Did you see the rest of our friends?" Asks Aaron hopefully, breaking the silence.
"No." Volio replies. "I didn't know she had other captives."
Now Max decides to chime in. "Does anyone know where she is? The next rehearsal isn't until Monday, plus, I'm ready for a revenge adventure. A reventure!"
"Yay!" Barks Aaron.
"But first," says Maxwell, "We need a gang name." He smiles slyly, while Volio facepalms.
"Kidnapping Game Busters!" Responds Aaron. "High Five!"
"Hey Volio?" says Max, watching his fiance almost roll of the bed, not needing another one of Max's shenanigans. "Last night, Cas had asked me if I'd go with her to a bar or something for drinks. It was probably a trap, so I said no, but I think our best bet is our favorite, Jakey D's."
Aaron turns to the small rabbit. "Volio, can you drive us?"
"Of course." They say, "If Max is involved, it's sure to be f u n."
"Alright!" Max says. "Aaron, clear your schedule, we have a job to do!"
"And Max?" says Volio, watching the two boys already getting ready to leave.
"Yeah?" Says Max, turning around.
"Let's not make this like that one time."
Max sighs. He single-handedly leads an army of 223 people on designer drugs with only a shopping cart and 2 packs of camels and no one appreciates it. He thought it was fun.
