CHAPTER FIVE!

As Sòfia began retracing her
steps, she remembers an
encounter that she had with
a certain someone

Gasping, she realised that the parcel
had fallen into the hands of none
another than the one person
Who is determined to bring down
her father.

Nick Mara.

Realising the danger that she could
fall into,she takes her heels
Off and makes a run to the
Police station.

She rushes inside and
sees nick inside holding
The brown parcel in his hands

Nick's face which was smug was now
Replaced with worry as he stared
at the hand mark Sòfia had on her cheek

"Sòfia, what happened?" he asks,
placing his hand under her chin and
lifting it so that he could get a better look

"Never mind that, I need that parcel"
she says, pushing Nick slightly and
reaching for the parcel

Nick chuckles amused, watching her
struggle to reach it

"First you're going to tell me
what happened
and we're putting ice
on that" he states, going into
his fridge and pulling out
an ice pack

"Sit" he commands, Sòfia
blindly obliging and taking a seat
on Nick's desk

Nick approaches her
and touches the bare skin of her
thigh to separate her legs

A gasp escapes Sòfia's lips and
she quickly covers her mouth
Nick chuckles and winks at her

"There's plenty of time for what
you're thinking about Lòpez"
He says flirtatiously

He places himself between her legs
And raises the ice pack onto her
Right cheek, relief instantly runs
through her body

Nick's aroma fills Sòfia's nostrils
and she looks at him watching
as he moved the ice pack from one
area of her cheek to another

She starts noticing his features.
His beautiful skin and striking
eyes encapsulating her

she was in utter awe of this man that
stood this close to her

"Why do you continue to
protect him when he does this to you?"
Nick sighs, continuing to care for
the young woman

"Because he's family, he's one of the
only family I have left" she mutters, the
tears in her eyes threatening to come
down her face.

"But wouldn't you love to live
In a world where you aren't held back
By your father?" Nick asks

"a world where you're allowed to love
and date whoever you want"

"Where you aren't having to constantly
look behind your shoulder"

"How amazing does that sound
Lòpez?" Nick ends, his face
Dangerously close to hers

the chemistry between Nick
and Sòfia was electric,
Both were clearly insanely
infatuated with one another

"Help me bring him down and
When we've done that, I'm going
to take you out on a date" nick proposes
winking and placing his hand in his
Khaki pockets

"You know what? You're on Mara" she
winks, tucking her hair behind her
ear.

He chuckles before clearing his
throat and moving from
between Sòfia's legs to the
other side of his office

he pulls out an elaborate and very
intricate board

"Okay so the plan is.."
