I LOVE YOU

Chapter 6

STEFI'S P.O.V

"Stef, wake up..."  I felt somebody was wagging my body.

"Uh..."  I held my head.  I think I hit my head on something really hard because I felt the pain.

"Hey...  Oh gosh finally..."  Riley's voice.

"Ri?  What happened?  Why you crying?"  I tried to sit.

"Ssh...  Stop, just lie down.  We're at the airport."

"What?  Oh where's Dad?"  I looked over the entire room and found Connor and Toby.  "Where's my Dad?"

"Stefi, you remember something?"  Riley held my hands and kissed it.

"Why you guys so serious?  Stop it.  I want to see Dad."  I yelled.

"He's not here..."  Connor murmured but I heard it.

"Excuse me?  Why are we still here, dudes.  Come on!"

I wanted to stand up and run but Riley stopped me by hugging my body so tightly till I can't move.  And I felt his tears on my shoulder.  Connor stood at the door, not wanting me to go outside, when Toby held my hands too, to help Riley to stop me. 

"Guys!  Stop being jerks!"  I cried so loud escaping myself from their grips.

"Hey calm down Stef, take a deep breath!  Ssh...  Shh..."  Connor held my cheeks and faced me really close.  "Your Dad's gone..."

I frozen right away.  Stood still with Riley and Toby beside me, and Connor holding my face.

"You can't be serious."  I chuckled awkwardly.

"Stef, remember that you hit your head on the floor?  You passed out before I can catch your body.  And you hit your head pretty hard.  You were bleeding.  That's why you're here.  We're in the airport, to pick up your Dad, but he died in a plane crash.  That's what happened."  

Riley turned my body around so I faced him, when he spoke to me in a single breath.  I started to crack up really hard, can't hold the tears much longer.

"I want...to...see Dad..."  I sobbed on Riley's hug.

"I know...  They're evacuating.  We have to wait."  He whispered in my ears, then humming some random songs to calm me.

"Dad..."  I sobbed harder until I was blown.  He called me like 5 minutes ago before we drove here to the airport, right?  "Riley...  I can't take it..."

"Stef...  You're a strong girl..."  He sobbed too.

"We're always be here for you, sissy."  Toby  put his hand on my back and rubbed it.

"That's true.  Mom and Dad are on their way back to Orlando...  We live across you.  And that's your house too.  You got my full attention and love, Stefi..."  Connor bowed his head, speaking with the cracky voice.

"I want Mom..."  I mumbled.

"Babe, stop it..."  Riley kissed my forehead.  "None of them were here anymore..."

"I wanna die...  I want to meet them..."  I stared at the distance blinking the tears.

"You can't.  You're staying with me.  I love you.  We love you."  Riley held my face again.  "Look.  We promise we'll keep you safe.  I promise you.  You got it?"

I shut my eyes, knowing that I got Riley's eyes which just 5 inches away from me and he teared up.

"Stefi, you hear me?"  RIley shook my head.

"Hmm..."  I nodded in weak.

"Okay."  He kissed my eyes.  "Stop crying.  We're going home.  Come on."

Riley carried me bridal style from the medical room to the car, Toby got my bag and purse, and Connor ran fastly to get the car.  We drove back to the McDonough's house, I guess.  I rested my head on Riley's lap, we're at the back seat.  Connor and Toby were at the front.  I just realized that these two boys were getting a cab when they catch us in the airport.  So we drove back the one car with us.

I can't really feel my feet, or after all, the whole body.  The boys made me resting in Riley's room.  Three of them were cooking dinner right now, meanwhile I kept making Riley's pillows wet with my tears.  I can't function.  I felt like the undead person.  Still alive, but willing to die.
