STEFI'S P.O.V
Couldn't be more excited to see Florida after 4 years! I packed my stuff in the hurriest motion ever, so I finished before the due date my Dad has told me. As the result, I helped Dad to pack some living room stuff too. He said that he has bought my old house back. So it'd be easier for us to manage the whole stuff in there. And in fact, we bought it in a fully-furnished condition. What a blessing.
"Stef, is that the last box?" Dad came to the front part of the house with hands full of boxes.
"Yeah, and that's a wrapped!" I laughed.
"Cool. Now take some rest. I'm gonna get you to the airport."
"Me? Only me? What do you mean?"
"Oh forgot to tell you. I'll be coming in 3 or 4 days. There's undeniable meeting that I need to attend tomorrow sweety."
"Well...I see. Sure Dad. I'll dressed up." I kissed his cheek then ran upstairs to get ready as fast as I could. I know that flight would be at 3 pm and it's already 10 am. Too early for some people, but for me, I can't wait for any longer.
I put the best natural make-up as I can, dressed up well done with the skirt and some cute additional stuff. Fully charged phone, guitar case, hat, headset, everything's ready. Riley, I'm coming home! Uh...now you know, I can't stop feeling this butterflies in my stomach. I hadn't seen him in 4 years. I only stared at them on YouTube and Instagram, or Twitter. I don't know what to expect either. This is scary.
"Stef, you're done?" Dad yelled.
"Yeah Dad, coming!"
Soon we drove away to the airport. Lucky me, I have cooked some foods for Dad to accompany his work at night. He worked so hard, especially at night when I was already falling asleep. So in the afternoon, I've always cooked him something, like cupcakes or brownies just to match the coffee time.
We arrived at the airport 1,5 hours before my flight schedule. I went inside to check-in, and then back again to the departure part where Dad has been waiting for me.
"So Dad, are you okay with this? You know you don't have to buy me an early ticket like this." I hugged him.
"It's okay, girl. I'm happy I did. Is it okay for you to stay alone first for couple days before I come? Or you can sleepover at the McDonough's."
"Dad, I'm 18. And it's terribly okay. We'll see about that but I'm okay being alone first. You take care, okay?"
"Sure, princess. Now, go inside, your flight time is near."
I kissed him repeatedly and hugged longer than before. I don't know, I can't say what, but I felt something. I missed Dad even when I still was be able to see him. It's the result of 4 years of living together, I guess.
"I miss you Dad, call me. There's a lot at the fridge." I waved away.
"I got it, baby. Go. Take care and keep me updated."
"I love you!" I blinked a tear.
"I love you too." Dad genuinely smiled. I didn't want to leave him alone but I already got a call for the passengers of my flight. We're boarding.
The flight took forever, I think. After an hour, I finally was be able to stop thinking the bad thing about Dad. He'll be fine. And oh, Orlando! Whoops! I miss hometown so much! I guess I was spinning myself around once we touched down on this beautiful city. I took my whole cases and ran to the cab's line. One step closer to the McDonough...
