"I guess all there is to know is... Um... We were friends," Harry said unsurely. He wanted everything to be perfect even if he had to lie. "Um, but, Liam is your best friend. Me and you never really talked much." He slid down his chair a bit thinking she could read his mind, knowing he was lying.

"Oh, I don't remember Liam." She sipped her last sip of her drink and took out her phone. "See, what I was trying to do was just look through my phone and texts to see if I remembered anything." She pulled up her contacts list and looked through it. "Oh, Liam Payne? That's all the Liam's I have in here."

"Yeah."

Sam looked at her phone for a few more seconds and said, "I think I'll call him sometime." Harry felt ok about this because of Liam hanging around Danielle more. They both got up and threw their cups away and walked out the door.

They walked around the mall for a little while when they came across a child's department. Sam stopped short.

"What?" Harry asked.

Sam stared in the department. She moved her eyes up and down as she looked at Niall with a little boy. A memory floated back in her mind of her and him at the beach, looking at the stars. How he was going to name a star after her. She closed her mouth and breathed through her nose, not answering Harry.

Harry looked where she had been looking and saw Niall, also. Harry's face wasn't even shocked looking at Niall as Niall looked up and took a double take at Harry and Sam. Niall was bent over talking to a little boy, helping him pick out shoes. Niall's eyes scanned both of them and then looked back at the boy, smiling. Harry looked back at Sam while Sam's eyes slowly looked to the floor.

"Do... Do you remember..." Harry secretly pointed in Niall's direction. Sam nodded. "How much?"

She shrugged and said, "We were at the beach, and, he had his arm around me. We just talk. Why did he look mad? From what I remember, it looked like we had fun." Harry placed a hand on Sam's back as they both started walking again.

"You both got in a fight. That's how you ended up like this." He used his and to gesture to Sam's head. Sam looked confused, but she believed him. "Hey, um, there's a party at Eleanor's house tonight. She's also your friend," Harry added with a chuckle. "Wanna be, like, my date?" He asked, hopingly.

Sam smiled with half her mouth and rolled eyes up to the ceiling, teasing him. "I don't knooow. I won't know anyone." She looked back at him, tilting her head.

Harry half smiled also and poked her waist to make her crack. Sam laughed and nodded. "Yes. I will go with you."

"Hey guys! Glad you could come!" Eleanor opened the door to Sam and Harry. It was loud with music blasting and lights flashing with drinks and people everywhere. Sam felt a bit insecure with girls' boobs practically hanging out of their shirts. With Harry's hand on her hip, she felt better. They walked in and followed Eleanor to the back room where Liam, Louis, Zayn, Patricia, and Liam's friend Josh and his girlfriend, Elena, were. Harry and Eleanor sat down in the last two seats while Sam was left to stand. Harry got up and offered her his chair. She shook her head, so Harry shrugged and sat down. He made eyes at her and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to sit on his lap.

"So, Sam, have you remembered anything new?" Eleanor asked, hoping she was going to say she remembered her.

"Well, I remembered my father," she said in a sad voice. "I remembered, actually, the mall. And I remembered a little of Niall." Everyone sat silently for a moment. Eleanor looked at the ground, scrunching her lips together. Then Josh perked up.

"Anyone want drinks?" He got up, looking around at all of them. No one raised their hand.

"I'll go with you, I'd like one," Elena said as she grabbed Josh's hand and went to the kitchen.

"Where's Danielle?" Harry asked Liam.

Liam, sitting on the couch with arms spread out, answered, "She had dance all night. They have a performance in a couple days in New York, so she said they still needed some work."

Harry nodded. He looked to Sam. "You wanna go dance?" He asked. Sam looked back at him.

"Sure!" She hopped off his lap and grabbed his hand and led him to the floor. They stayed holding hands dancing and swaying to the music. The place was crowded. It smelt all of beer and spilt Coke. It didn't bother them from having a good time. With the lights flashing from black to pink back to black to blue, they could hardly see each other.

Harry grabbed her hips, fearfully, as she placed both her hands on his face making him look her straight in the eyes. They smiled at each other as their lips were inches apart. They tilted their heads.

"Hey guys! We were gonna start a game of beer pong! Wanna join?" Patricia yelled to them. They looked back at each other. Sam shrugged her shoulders yes. They looked back at her.

"Sure."

*

After about five games of beer pong, they were all pretty pissed by now. They could barely hold their cups up to their mouths.

Liam whispered a joke in Sam's ear. She slammed her cup down and laughed hard enough to almost fall to the floor. She caught her breath.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom." She steadied herself up and walked through the drunk crowd. She got to the bathroom and locked the door behind her. She looked straight into the mirror with her nose almost toughing it. She whipped her eye liner from under her eyes and stepped back. She swallowed and tasted the sour beer in her throat. She smacked her lips from the taste. She unlocked the door and opened it to Liam standing in front of her. She quickly looked up at him. His hands were in his pockets as he bit his lip.

"Hi," Sam said.

"Hey," Said Liam, in a husky voice. He looked her up and down. Sam noticed and bit her lip. She didn't know this was the Liam that was her best friend. And Liam didn't know he was that drunk. "Come here." He took her hand and led her upstairs to the guest room.

He closed the door and turned to face. "I don't care that I'm your best friend. Ha, and you don't even remember." He grabbed the back of her neck and pushed his lips on hers. They moved backwards to the bed, collapsing Sam on the side of the bed. Liam's hands on her back, Sam moaned. They unattached as Liam pulled off his shirt. Sam scooted to the head of the bed as Liam crawled on her. Their lips reattached with Sam's hands on his biceps.

He pulled Sam's shirt over her head and threw it to the floor.

After a few seconds, they were both in their underwear with Liam's sweaty body pressed up on Sam.

"You don't need Harry. I bet I could make you scream louder than he ever would," he whispered making a seductive smile. He kissed her one more time before he slid down into the sheets.
