You were studying in the bunker. You didn't go to university, instead, you chose to be a hunter and teach yourself. You were writing an essay in french about being a hunter - only for yourself and for the boys, if they wanted to read it. You heard the rustling of wings, and gazed up only to meet Cas with your eyes.
"Hey, Cas." you smiled.
"Hello, Y/N." he sat down onto the couch, behind the desk.
You stayed silent about half an hour, and when you finished, you looked up to the angel, and witnessed the most surprising thing: he was watching you this whole time, and only got his blue gaze away when he saw you looking up.
