When you arrive back into the motel room with loads of food in your hands, you find yourself in front of a Christmas tree and Sam holding a cup of eggnog in his hand. When he hears you stepping in, he turns his whole body to you and smiles.
"Merry Christmas, Y/N."
"Oh, Sam." you put down the food onto the counter and step next to him. "This tree is beautiful."
You hug each other and then Sam walks into the kitchen and returns with another glass of eggnog.
"Sam, you know I don't like it."
"Just taste it." he gives you a shiny smile, and you can't say no.
You accept the glass and after pulling the edge of it into your mouth and taking a sip from the eggnog, you grimace, and shove the glass into Sam's hand.
"This is awful."
You both break out in laugh.
Later on, you watch the your favourite Christmas movie together, then give each other the presents. During the night, you two talked about everything connected to Christmas, then fell asleep together.
This was your best Christmas ever. It was simple, a bit life-changing evening, that you'll carry in your soul until your last breath.
