mark snapped his fingers in front of me serval times, finally it made me flinch and jump out my thoughts. "hello, are you there?" he asked.

"y-yeah...." i stuttered, then looked down at my feet, playing with them by laying them on each other, on turns.

jisung frowned. "bora leaving us without saying bye, kind of rude." chenle said honestly.

renjun smacked his arm. "she's a kid."

i blurred out their conversation, and started to think of my brother again, but mark cupped my face and pulling it up to make eye contact with me.

"are you okay?" he asked, then the attention was on me. mark slowly let me sit on the wooden chair. "n-no...." i gritted my teeth, and clawed on my skirt.

mark kneeled down, as everyone looked worriedly at me after hearing my answer. "why? it's okay we are here. you can tell us." mark being protective again, i mean always.

"bora's new brother...... reminded me of..." i sighed and was about to say the answer, but chenle did it for me. "your brother?! you have a brother?" chenle asked surprised.

i nodded my head, and grabbed tighter on my skirt. "where is he now?" jaemin asked curiously, sitting on another chair.

i gulped, and a tear escaped my eye, slowly rolling down my cheek. "i have no idea.... i don't know where he is." i sniffed, wiping the tears on my face.

mark grabbed my arm, for support.

"i don't know. he left me, left when i was a small kid. when i was little." i cried, but luckily i wasn't crying loud.

"where'd he went? did he tell you something?" jisung asked. "did he say goodbye to you?" jeno asked.

i nodded my head. "yes, he did say bye to me, but never said where he was going. but i remember he..." i sighed, wiping my tears again and inhaling deeply.

"he promised to take me with him, when he comes back. he promised to give me proper food, clothes, things, house, and life. he promised...." i couldn't anymore, and burst out crying.

mark quickly let me burry my face, on his stomach as tears stained on his shirt. he stroked my hair, comforting me while i non stopped cry.

"don't worry, he will come back to you, like he promised." renjun spoke, the boys stood watching us. "he promised, so he will." he repeated.

i slowly pulled myself away from mark, and eyed hyuck. "promises are meant to be broken, right?" i asked, my throat felt like sand paper.

everyone glanced at donghyuck, eyes were furrowed and an annoyed expression was pasted on their face.

donghyuck blushed, slolwy shaking his head, waving his hands.

"n-no aeri, i- just didn't....i." donghyuck lost his words, and gave up by sighing slowly.

mark cupped my cheek, rubbing circles with his thumb. "don't worry aeri, don't listen to what haechan said. i believe your brother won't break that promise." he said, as the boys behind him nodded their head.

"what makes you so sure?" i asked, thinking the negative way.

mark shook his head. "i admit it, i can't be sure about it. but if you want to see your brother again, then maybe you could find him." he whispered the last sentence.

i looked up at him quick.

"how?"

"join us, join our mission."

i pursed my lips, and thought hardly. what if this is a bad idea? what about them, can i really just leave them? friends, or family. but my family was never there for me, i pick friends.

but i want brother too.

i gulped. "i'll join."
