AERI
16 years old
present dayi hummed a familiar melody, or perhaps a song that i heard from a movie me and the boys watched yesterday. under the sea, the little mermaid.
the brush slowly made beautiful waves, lines and curves that slowly formed into a beautiful flower. while painting, renjun sat beside me, drawing one of his favorite character; moomin.
i could hear renjun's voice, melting like gold inside the art room. his voice was so smooth, and something i could a hundred percent sure listen to the whole day. it's beautiful, and sounds unreal.
suddenly it stopped, which made me stop too. why'd he stop? it was such a beautiful moment to enjoy, while listening to him.
"renjun, why'd you stop?" i asked, a bit sad that he did. renjun chuckled, and glanced at me. "i knew it, you love it when i sing. why don't you just admit it?" he smirked, i frowned and smacked his arm.
before i could speak again, someone walked in the room. "renjun, aeri, its breakfast time." mark knocked, smiling while watching us finishing the small details.
"okay hyung." renjun politely said, he hopped off the chair and waited for me, soon as i stood up he walked behind me.
me, mark and renjun were making our way to the canteen, with a bit of silence, then mark broke it.
"why are you guys always so up early?" mark questioned curiously. "we just really want to paint." renjun explained, i nodded my head and agreed.
when we entered the noisy, and crowded canteen we quickly sat on our usual spot along with the other boys.
i sat beside renjun, and jaemin. i looked down at the food, and sighed. i grabbed the spoon, forcefully stuck it inside my mouth, gulping it down.
"ew, why always the same soggy oat meal?" jisung said annoyed, but he had no choice but eat it. "i want other food, why do we have to eat this food?" chenle complained.
donghyuck scoffed, laughing and angrily pushed away his bowl. "food, this is not food! this is something they got from trash, and give it to us." donghyuck crossed his arms, not accepting the food.
i slowly pushed it back to him. "hyuck, eat. you'll starve, and might get sick. sister nancy isn't here to give you the medicine." i said protectively, smiling so he could at least smile back.
donghyuck fisted his hands. "what did i tell about that nickname hyuck? it sounds ridiculous, please stop calling me that!" donghyuck increased his voice, that green veins bulged out of his long neck.
i pursed my lips, trying to hold my pain back. "please eat." i plead, but hyuck lost his mind and went insane.
"i said no, i don't wanna get poisoned by this stupid food! i can do whatever i want!" he screamed, his hair raising up and so did mine on my arms. every word he spat, made my heart crush.
orphans' attention was on him, hyuck got embarrassed and was red on his face, he didn't wanted to sit and just eat. so he left the canteen, with stomping feet.
i sighed, biting my lips.
jeno faked a smile, and grabbed the bowl. "i will go and feed him." he said, i smiled at him. he left the room, and ran after donghyuck.
after the boys left, we all looked at each other in silence. mark, the silence breaker of course broke it. "lets eat, don't mind haechan." he said to the youngsters, so they wouldn't worry.
"okay." chenle silently said, and played with his food.
i feel like everything is changing, everything since we are now grown up.
note: they grown up now lol.
