"Mommy's really sorry sweetheart, but you do know that momma has to go and take care of other people too right? But don't worry, you can watch movies with daddy tonight."Ava assured Evelyn, her 6 year old daughter as she pouted and looked up at her with tears in her green eyes that resembled her dad's a a lot.
"But....I wanted to watch it with both of you!"Evelyn objected while holding on to Ava's hand so she won't leave her. Ava's heart slightly cracked at her daughters convincing and tears but she knew she had to go or that patient might lose his life.
Ava works as a classified psychiatrist and she just received a call from the hospital about a patient going insane so she had to quickly visit him and maybe give an ECT too. "Maybe.....next time darling."Ava whispered before crouching down and placing a soft kiss on Evelyn's forehead.
"Promise?"Evelyn asked as she held her pinky finger high in air. Ava smiled before linking her pinky with Evelyn's, sealing the sweet promise between mother and daughter. "I love you!"Ava assured. "Love you too mommy!"Evelyn smiled brightly at her. "I'm feeling a bit lonely here!"the raspy voice came from none other than her husband, harry who stood there dramatically wiping a tear from under his eye.
Evelyn and Ava giggled before they both wrapped him in a hug, while Evelyn wrapped her arms around his leg considering the fact that she was really small. "Go and don't worry about us.....I'll make sure she enjoys her holiday."Harry murmured in Ava's ear while holding her petite body close to his.

He smiled comfortingly at his wife. "Thank you Haz...well, I should go now, I'm already running a bit late."Ava stated while glancing at the diamond cladded watch that decorated her tan wrist. "Bubye mum!"Evelyn waved. "Bye sweethearts!"Ava told them both before pressing a final kiss against Evelyn's temple and Harry's smooth lips before jogging towards the door in hurry. "Drive safe kitten!"Harry shouted after Ava as little Evelyn kept waving at her mother while clinging onto her dad.
