Desmond's point of view
“ Desmond , please take your medications . ” The nurse said for the eleventh time.
Then I shake my head indicating "No"
" Please Desmond , just take this one . It tastes like candy . "The nurse pleads
This time , I don't just shake my head , I throw the medications on the ground.
" Desmond !!! Look at what you just did ! Why are you behaving like this ? "
I want to see Christiana . I have missed her so much.
I wrote it on a paper and showed it to the nurse.
The nurse just sighs and says ;
Desmond . I don't know when , she will come to visit you. But do you want to know the reason for her disappearance.
I nod my head indicating " yes "
" Okay , i will tell you . The time you were still in coma . The doctor kept demanding for money . The doctor gave her warning that if she doesn't pay your hospital bills . You will be removed from life support and you won't be taken care of .
So out of frustration , she decided to use her school fees that her dad gave her to pay your hospital bills. She made her mind that she will solve that before her dad gets to know what she did.
Unfortunately , her helper which is her uncle hasn't come back from the business trip and now the information has gotten to her father. Now she has to solve this puzzle in ten days but how ." The nurse explains to me.
" So that's why , she hasn't been coming because she is trying to find a solution before that ten days. I know all this because she was free with me, so she told me everything. "
I don't know how to feel now. I have caused trouble for Christiana . I feel bad
" Don't feel bad. You aren't trouble. You are sweet person and Christiana did what she did out of love . Christiana has said so much about you in fact she cherishes you. " The nurse assures me
Christiana cherishes me ??
" Do you want to speak to her ? I have her number . " The nurse questions me
I nod indicating " yes "
" Okay ,here goes nothing. " The nurse says as she removes her phone from her pocket.
She starts to dial the number
" It's a video call. I hope she answers. Don't tell what I just told you . "
I nod in agreement
" Hello Nurse P ?? " Christiana yells in the video call
" Yeah. How are you dear ? " The Nurse says
" Am fine by God's grace and you ? "
" Same . Umm..... Desmond is wants to talk to you . " The nurse tells her
" Desmond ! It's been ages since I saw him. Please can I talk to him." Christiana said excitedly
" Sure . "
Christiana : Desmond , am sorry that I haven't been coming to visit you.
Desmond signed languaged : You are forgiven
Christiana : Thank you ! How are you ?
Desmond sign languages : Am fit as a fiddle
Christiana : Haha , You have become really handsome.
Desmond blushes
Christiana : Did you just blush ? Hahaha !!!
Desmond signed languaged ; You have become very beautiful
Christiana blushes
Desmond smiles in a way of laughter.
Desmond : I miss Christiana
Christiana : Awww , me too !
Desmond : When am I going to see you beauty ?
Christiana : You are flirting with me .
Desmond : No ,am not
Christiana : Yes you are
Desmond : Fine you have caught me.
" Christiana , Desmond has not been taking his medications . " The nurse yells
Christiana : Desmond !
Desmond : Yes darling !
Christiana : Stop flirting ! Why haven't you been taking your medications ?
Desmond : Umm...... Because .... I miss you a lot . I want you to come and visit me.
Christiana : Awww , sorry OK. I just want to give you a surprise visit. The day you won't be expecting me , I will come .
Desmond : Okay i hear . Bye !
Christiana : Bye !
