Sorry for the late update, schools got me busy and I was going through a breakup. It's all good now.

Your POV

Katie and I kept talking while we ate. Pausing sometimes to talk to relatives or friends who came to congratulate me. We had come up with the perfect plan, now we had to find the time to execute it.

Our conversation was interrupted by the DJ announcing that it was time for Marcus and I's first dance as a married couple. Marcus got up and offered his hand out to me. I blushed and took it, allowing him to lead me to the dance floor.

As we got to the floor "Thinking out loud" By Ed Sheeran began to play over the speakers. I smiled up at Marcus but got shy once I saw the flashes of the camera. I hugged Marcus and we stayed that way. My head on his chest, his arms wrapped around me. We stood there, swaying to the music of the song, getting lost in each other's arms. It was truly the best experience I've ever felt. Just being able to relax like that with him, letting the world around us fade away.

We didn't realize that the song had ended until the DJ and his incredibly loud voice interrupted us.

"Let's hear it from the lovely couple!"

Everyone applauded and suddenly I was sucked right back into reality.

We awkwardly separated from one another, our hands still connected as we walked back to our seats. As we left the dance floor it became flooded by people wanting to dance to the popular song that was playing.

When I returned to my seat I was instantly hugged by Katie.

"OMG THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER MY SHIP OMGGGGGGG" Katie screamed as she bombarded my with pictures and videos that she had taken during the dance.

I was instantly overwhelmed with embarrassment seeing Marcus and I act, so I did the most humane thing and covered my face and made inhuman noises.

That, mixed in with Katie's fangirling craze, we caused quite a lot of attention to ourselves. At least I thought we did, I started to panic just a little but Marcus made me look around and when I did, I saw that only a few people had turned to look at us and that the music was too loud for most people to hear what was going on.

I let out a sigh of relief and sat down with Marcus. We laced our fingers together and began talking about how our wedding was a success and about what we wanted to do in the future. We talked for a while before it was time for the dance with the groom and the groom's mom. Marcus left me at the table and went to dance with his mom.

I was focusing on the dance just like everyone else until I saw something flicker out of the corner of my eye. I looked towards the window but nothing was there. I shrugged it off as a car going by and I focused my attention back onto my new husband and mother-in-law.

I eventually saw the same flicker again and this time I couldn't focus on the dance. My eyes were drawn to whatever was flickering outside. Eventually my curiosity got the best of me and I had to go outside and see what it was.

I walked outside, immediately feeling a little chilly due to it being cold. I looked around and no one was there. I turned around to go back inside and I was struck in the back of the head with something hard and heavy. I couldn't find out what it was because I quickly fell unconscious. Vulnerable to my attacker....

Marcus's POV

My mom and I were talking as we danced, everything around us a blur.

"I think you made the right choice." My mom says to me.

"Me too." I say as I smile down at her.

"You do realize that if you ever hurt her that I will kill you right?" She says to me, a serious look in her eyes.

"M-mom?" I say, looking at her nervously.

"I'm just saying, I brought you into this world, I can take you out." She says to me, glaring at me.

"Mom, I promise that I'll never intentionally hurt her, I love her so much and just thinking about her hurting makes my heart hurt." I say, returning the serious look she's giving me.

She looked at me and her once deadly gaze turned into a soft and loving one. She raised her hand to my cheek and kissed my forehead.

"I raised you boys right." She said, a proud look on her face.

I smiled at her as the song ended, everyone cheered and we went our separate ways, the DJ announcing that it was time for the bride to dance with her father.

I looked around for (Y/n) but I couldn't see her, and it wasn't like she's not hard to spot.

I looked at the people around me and noticed that they too were confused, her father in the center of the dance floor waiting for his daughter.

I broke off from the group and went outside to look around on the balcony, I looked everywhere outside and I found nothing.

I was starting to get a little worried as everyone searching came up short. At this point everyone had gone from calm and collected to running around frantically. I went back to my little dressing area so no one would have to see me have a breakdown. The things around me began to blur as tears began to well in my eyes. As I reached a seat I went to sit down but an envelope caught my attention.

"My Dearest Marcus..." It said written in neat cursive.

I felt my heart rate spike as I knew what (Y/n)'s handwriting looked like and that wasn't it.
