Marcus POV

I decided to put my thoughts to the side and first begin with contacting the police. I quickly searched for my phone, I had left it in my dressing room so I wouldn't lose it. Once I located it I quickly dialed the number that my parents made sure was carved into my brain. I clicked dial and waited for someone to answer, my heart pounding out of my chest.

My breath caught in my throat when the dialing nose stopped.

"911, what is your emergency?" A female responder asked.

"Hello, yes, my wife... my wife has been kidnapped..." I just barely managed to get the words out.

"Alright sir, what's her name?" The lady calmly asked, I could hear the faint clicking of a keyboard in the background but my attention was focused on answering her questions.

"(F/n) (L/n)."

"And do you know where she was last seen." The lady asked, still typing away.

"Yes (Inert address here). We just got married... like an hour ago." I told her.

"Alright sir I'll send a few cars that way." The woman asked finally finishing what she was typing.

"Thank you so much ma'am." I said, as a breath I wasn't aware that I was holding in escaped me.

"May I have your name sir?" The woman asked, typing once more.

"Yes, Gunnarsen, Marcus Gunnarsen." I said while rubbing my face.

"Thank you so much, the police will be on their way shortly." The woman said.

I sighed and ended the call.

I took a moment to find my composure and walked out of the room, stuffing the letter in my pocket as I did so. It appeared everyone had left due to worry or to search for (Y/n). Martinus was sitting alone on a bench outside looking to the darkness, I quietly walked out there and sat down beside us. Neither of us talking yet the silence between us oddly comforting.

"Sophia." I said whilst looking out into the darkness.

"Come again?" He replied, looking at me.

"Sophia. You remember her right?" I asked, attempting to hide the disgust at even speaking her name.

"Maybe, what's your point?" He said, still looking at me, now with both curiosity and worry.

I didn't reply but instead pulled out the slightly crumpled letter and handed it to him. I didn't watch as he read the letter, assuming that his emotions would somewhat mirror mine.

Once he finished the letter he stood up in both surprise and rage.

"What the fuck!" He yelled, rage flowing through him as it was me.

"I know..." I trailed off.

"This is the same girl that terrorized us as teens!" Martinus said as he tried not to hit something.

"I know..." I said once more.

"We've got to do something about this!" He said, now looking directly at me.

"I know..." I said once again.

I kept looking out into the distance when I felt myself being grabbed. I looked ahead and saw Martinus, my suit balled up into his fist. He was looking down but I could feel the anger radiating off of him.

"Get yourself together man! (Y/n)'s out there missing right now and she could be in danger! What if something happens like last time?! Do you really think she can handle that again? Pull yourself together... Now is the worst time to feel sorry for yourself..." Martinus said.

His speech started out angry but was soon reduced to one of worry and sadness.

He dropped me and walked inside, I fell back onto the bench and put my head in my hands.

"He's right... I need to start thinking things through and start acting like a man. My wife is out there and she needs my help." I thought out loud to myself, being too caught up in my words to notice someone approaching me.

The person who walked up to me sat down on the bench and put their arms around me. I looked up and saw my mom sitting there. I leaned into her and full on embraced her.

"I know what you're going to do. Just be careful okay? I know this has been hard but please don't go doing things irrationally... I can't bare to lose one of my kids... " My mom said, holding me tightly.

I hadn't noticed until now that tears were streaming down my face. My mom pulled me closer to her and I embraced her, needing comfort in this moment.

We sat like that for a while, eventually separating. She looked at me and wiped my tears away with her thumb. She put her hand on my cheek lovingly and smiled a heartwarming smile that made me feel a little better.

"Go find your wife." She told me while getting up.

She kissed my forehead and walked away into the darkness.

'Normally at this point I'd be with (Y/n). She always knows how to cheer me up and make me smile... I've got to find her... no matter what it takes...'
