Forbidden Love

Chapter 10

The girls got inside David's house and Tonya ran into David's arms with tears in her eyes. "Don't cry," He said as he comforted her in his arms.

"Go start his car and warm it," David told Jason as he threw his keys to Jason. Tiffany decided to go outside to be by her boyfriend and make sure that Jason knows what to say if Tonya's parents come over.

While they where inside the house, Tonya's dad John walked up the driveway and steps up to the car. " Is David here? " John asked Jason with a raised brow.

"Yes but he is in the shower right now," Jason replied nervously.

"OK, do you know if Tonya is here with Tiffany?" John asked with a stern look.

"No she isn't, neither one of them are," Jason said trying to stay calm and not show that he was lying.

"OK," John said as he walked back across the street to his house.

Jason ran inside to tell them about John coming over and asking questions about Tonya, David and Tiffany. Then he headed back outside to watch the car.

David knew it was time to get out of there before he came back. Tiffany went out first and got into the back seat of the car with Jason.

David and Tonya came running out of the house and got into the car and David started to back out of his driveway. He stopped as he realized he didn't lock the front door.

David took his seatbelt off and ran to the front door to lock it. He was on his way back to the car when he saw John about to cross the street. David decided to go meet him in the middle of the street.

"Are you looking for me?" David asked as he stopped in front of John.

"Yes, I wanted to make sure Tonya was not at your house," John said as he looked at David with a tight lip.

"No she isn't, I have to go to my restaurant and do some inventory for tomorrow," David said with a straight face.

" OK," John said as he turned and walked back home.

David had walked back to his car, got in and pulled away from his house. " That was a close call, " He said as his heart thumped in his chest.

" I know but at least he didn't see me, " Tonya said with relief.

David pulled up to a restaurant called Burger Palisade, it was pink and white trim and had a sign hanging above the restaurant. A car hop came to the car and David decided to order for all of them.

"What can I get you today?" Pam asked as she took out her pad and pencil.

"We would like 2 large chocolate shakes, 2 large diet cokes, 4 chilli dogs with no onion and 4 fries," David said rapidly to the car hop.

The waitress headed to the window to turn the order in, while David and the rest of them figured out what they where going to see at the drive in.

They decided to go to see the movie Twister, since everyone wanted to see it. David knew she just wanted to be with him, for him to hold her and let her know everything will be OK.

The waitress walked over to David's car window on it and walked away to take another order. David the two shakes to Jason and Tiffany, along with their chilly dogs.

David handed Tonya her diet coke and chilly dog. They all were sitting and eating their food, but Tonya only took two bits out of her chilly dog and sighed.

"Tonya are you OK?" David asked as he stopped eating.

"I'll be OK," Tonya said as she looked at David with a sad face.

"Are you sure?" David asked with a raised brow.

"Yes, just don't want this day to end," Tonya said with a sigh.

"Be patient sweetheart it will work it's self out some time soon," David said as he looked at her.

All of them finished their food, and pushed the button for the car hop to pick up their tray. The waitress came over to the car and took the tray off the window and David handed her a five dollar tip.

He started his car and headed for the drive-in, when Jason and Tiffany decided not to go. On the way David stopped to drop them off before heading to the drive-in.

After saying goodbye, David and Tonya drove off to the drive-in. David and Tonya pulled up to the drive-in theatre and saw there was a long line.

The drive-in was brown with white trim, and they could see that there was two different sides to this theatre. David and Tonya had finally made it close to the front of the line and saw it had took them 30 minutes.

David and Tonya finally got to the pay booth to pay for the movie and found a spot that they liked to park. It was close to the concession stand and they didn't have to walk far to get to the restrooms or the snack bar.

David got out to get the speaker and connected to the window of the car. They decided to put a blanket on the hood of the car and watch the movie under the star's.

When they got things situated, David grabbed Tonya's hand and walked hand and hand to the concession stand to get some popcorn and drinks before the movie started.

When David and Tonya arrived at the concession stand, both of them headed to the restrooms before getting anything to eat or drink.

The concession stand inside was yellow and green and had lots of posters on the wall of movies that where on or that where coming to the theatre.

David asked for a king size popcorn extra butter, and two large diet cokes with a box of gummy bears. When they got their stuff they headed back to David's car.

David set the food and drinks down on the roof of his car, then he picked up Tonya and placed her on the hood of the car. David grabbed the things off the roof, he went around the front of the car and got on the hood with Tonya.

They leaned against the front window and Tonya put her head on David's chest, as David put his arm around her waist. Tonya had turned towards David, kissing him on the lips softly and he kissed her back.

Tonya couldn't keep her eyes on the movie much and kept her eyes on David because she looked him unconditionally.

When the intermission came up Tonya needed to go to the bathroom, so David walked her to the restroom and waited for her outside the door for her.

Since David was waiting on her he decided to get her something special from the concession stand, so she could remember this date. David saw a shirt that said Twister and he thought it would be perfect for her.

"I would like a large twister shirt," David said as he handed the attendant the money for it. Tonya came out of the women's bathroom, just as the girl behind the counter was putting it in a bag and handing it to David.
