CHAPTER 17

John was happy to be home, well his wife couldn't sit still and was looking all over the place, to see if she could spot their daughter.

At least she is quiet He thought to himself, well he was heading home and couldn't wait to be able to relax. When he turned onto the road, leading to their house and noticed his son-in-law's car in the driveway, of his own home.

John was hoping, that his wife didn't no where he lived at, since she had never been over there before. He turned into the driveway, then pulled up to the front door and turn the ignition off, before stepping out of his car.

Sandra got out of the passenger side, slammed the door shut and scurried off to her vehicle, as she pulled out of the driveway. He wasn't surprised, by the way his wife took off and he walked up to the door with keys in hand, as he unlocked it.

He stepped inside, close the door and headed into the kitchen for something to drink, but couldn't decide on what. When John decided on a shot of whiskey, but he started the coffee maker first and then headed over to the cabinet, to grab the bottle down.

She is driving me to drinking He thought to himself, as he pulled it down and grabbed him a shot glass, then pour them a shot.

While waiting on the coffee, he walked over to the kitchen table and sat down in the chair, with the drinking hand. When he down the first shot, he decided to have another and got up, as he headed back over to grab the bottle.

Sander was driving all over town, searching for her daughter's car as well as her and a hour went by, was no site of her or her car. She notice her gas gauge was on empty, as he pulled into the station and up to the pumps, then turned the car off.

She stepped out of her car, then headed inside to prepay for the gas and a soda, before heading back to her car.

When she started pumping the gas, I hope I can find my daughter, before it's too late She thought to herself, before hanging the pump nozzle up.

Sandra close the gas cap, before getting back in her car and pulled out of the gas station, and search for her daughter.

She knew that there was only a short. Of time, for her daughter to get the involvement and was running against time, everyday that goes by.

Hours went by, with no sight of her daughter I'm back at the house, John had got up from the table, as he went to put the bottle up. After doing that, he grabbed a cup of coffee and went back to sit down, well debating on going over to David's house.

While sitting there drinking his coffee, he decided to text his wife, wondering what he was going to say to her. Where are you? He ask his wife, waiting on a response from her.

She heard the phone ding, has she picked up her phone and looked at it, noticing it was from her husband. She pulled to the side of the road, part and read his text, Why does he want to know that for She thought to herself.

You know what I'm doing, you crazy old man She I said to him, then pulled back onto the road. He read her texts and started to get agitated, by what she had said, as he sat there trying to calm down.

After thirty minutes oh, he finally got his self together and took his last drink of coffee, as he grabbed his phone to text her. How long are you going to be? He he asked her, hoping she would answer him nicely.

Sandra pulled into this fast food place, turned her car off and ordered her a hamburger basket, when her  phone went off
a second time.

While waiting on her food, she looked at the text and decided to respond back to him, before her food got to the car.

If you are hungry, fix you something to eat, because I won't be home for a few hours She texted back to him, as our food was being delivered.

The girl said the tree down, on the windowsill and waited for the money for the food, after getting it she walked away.

Well she started eating, her husband decided to walk well she started eating, her husband decided to walk over to his son-in-law's house and visit with both of them, for a while.

John walked over to the front door, opened it up and stepped inside, closing the door behind him. He walked the door was his keys, before walking down his driveway to the road and he stopped, looked both ways to see if his wife was nearby.

When the coast was clear, he headed across the street, to his son-in-law's house and knocked on the door. Well he was waiting for someone to answer, he seemed car lights in the distance and he started walking, towards the road.

Before he could get there, the car was pulling into the driveway and John was concerned about it. When Jason and Tiffany stepped out of their car and he walked over to meet them, when the front door opened up.

David and Tanya stepped outside, then notice their friends and John standing by the car, as they invited them into the house. Well everyone headed inside to sit down on the couch, he went into the kitchen and grabbed some iced tea for them.

After grabbing the glasses, tea pitcher and he walked out of the kitchen, then went straight into the living room. He said the tree down on the coffee table"help yourselves," he said to them, before sitting next to his wife.

They all grabbed the glass of iced tea, before sitting back on the couch and started having a conversation. John looked over at his daughter, noticing the smile on her face and he knew that his son-in-law was the right one, for his little girl.

He looked over at his daughter, what tears in his eyes"I'm so proud of you, standing up for what you wanted," He said to her, as he put his arms around her and gave her a big hug.

Tanya had tears forming in her eyes, well looking at her dad and she couldn't understand, what had happened in Las Vegas.

Maybe it wasn't him after all She thought to herself, as her dad handed her a envelope that had both of their names on it. "Thank you," They both said to her dad, was a sign of relief on their faces.

She knew it was her evil mom, that was causing all these problems "Where are you going for your honeymoon?" He asked them all. David looked at his father-in-law, then let him know where they all were going and he was glad to hear that.

"When are you leaving?" John asked them hoping it was really soon, because of his wife. they let him know, that they were heading out at three a. M. In the morning and hope there was no delays.

He knew what he had to do, by keeping his wife busy and not to let her know where near the house or apartment. Well everyone talked to one another, the time flew by and John looked at his watch, while his daughter open the envelope.

Tanya looked inside and noticed a big amount of money, that our father gave them, as she started to cry. He notice what time it was and let them know, he had to get going before his wife got there.

He got up off the couch, as he headed to the door"Goodbye," They all said to him, with a smile on their faces.

John stepped out the door, was his daughter standing by the doorway and watched him walk down the driveway. David walked up behind his lovely wife, while watching him cross the road and into his driveway.

When he walked around the curve of his driveway, they step back inside the house and close the door behind them. They took one step, away from the door and his wife turn towards her husband, what's yours in her eyes.

Tanya wrapped arms around him, as she laid her head up against his chest and started to cry. He wrapped his arms around her, well he comforted his wife and knew she was missing her dad.

When he decided, to walk her into the living room and Saturday down on the couch, with his arms still around his wife."It's okay, you'll see him again," He said to his wife, as he kissed her on the forehead.
