Hello guys~! Before you read, just wanted to give you a disclaimer about the chapter. From the recent question I asked you all, I thought it would be a good and LONG chapter to have both the ideas of the battle and the Timeskip of the relic. It will be a challenge a bit, but also an interesting chapter! Hope you guys enjoy it!
Qrow's POV~
I just had word that Salem is starting to move, quickly. After I kissed Winter good morning, I looked through my scroll and my sources had told me of Salem's next moves with the White Fang. No doubt Blake will be involved and help us avoid this. Dealing with Salem's minions will be a challenge, especially since Cinder is involved with this.
I told Winter about our situation, she nods, understanding, "We need to tell the kids, to get ready."
"Do you think they are ready Winter? This is going to be a battle that will change who they are and what they stand for. The huntsmen and huntresses involved are powerful—"
"And they have fought with three of them. Qrow, I know you are worried about them; but they are not students anymore. They are huntsman and huntresses, we both have trained them all we know and that is enough for the battle they will face." Winter cups my face and smiled at me, "They are ready as they will ever be,"
I smile back to her and nod, "You're right, they are not students," I sigh, holding her hand, "They have grown up so quickly..."
Winter chuckles and kisses my forehead, sending a warm feeling in my heart. She didn't have to say anything; just that gesture tells me she understands. "Come on," she said. "We have to get ready for tonight,"
I smile to her, holding her close as I gave her a sweet kiss, "Let's get ready,"
Her usual blush on her cheeks reveals themselves before she smiled. She had gotten up and headed towards the shower, I sit over the bed, sighing as I got up and woke up everyone in the house. After Winter's shower, smirking at her in a towel, I took my turn in the bathroom and got my gear on. I put on my cape, grabbing my sword as I looked at Winter.
Winter got in her professional uniform, doing her hair in her usual bun and bangs to the side. She grabbed her sword and puts it on her side, she looked like she was going on a mission. But, we were going to a mission-like assignment, but it was a battle.
I stepped out of our room and went to the lobby, everyone was ready and waiting. The moment Winter and I got into the lobby, everyone stood up, looking at us. I was in awe of these kids...the training they have gone through with us and the trauma they went to in Beacon, they have truly become huntsman and huntresses of their own. I opened my mouth, but no words came out.
Winter then grabbed my hand and gave me a look of content, she then faced the team, "You all will face a tremendous battle to where we are going; you will meet familiar enemies and also new ones as well. However, don't let that affect you and your performance. You have trained up to this day and you will be victorious, stay focus at the task at hand; we will be retrieving the relic from the academy—"
There was then a portal, one's much like Raven's, we all stood back a bit and saw it was...Weiss and Yang.
Everyone gasped, speechless, Ruby stepped forward, "Y-yang, I-I'm so sorry. I should have stayed...I should have talked to you before—"
Yang hugs her close and smiles, "I missed you Ruby, don't apologize," She said calmly. They both had their moment.
Weiss ran up to Winter as they greeted each other, "I see that you escaped our father, and you know how to summon,"
Weiss nodded and smiled, "Its great to see you Winter, I missed you,"
Winter caressed her cheek, "The feeling is mutual little sister, by the way, how is your brother doing?"
