“After Juliette and Vince Pharix led the Revolutionaries to the temple in the East, what happened?” asked Professor Milton.
Charles, eagerly writing down notes, raised his hand.
“Yes, Mr. Pharix?”
Charles grinned-he always enjoyed learning about his great ancestors, the founders of the realm-Juliette and Vince. They were always such an inspiration to him.
“They, along with all the other dragons, combined their magic using the Crucifix and created Pharix, the realm for all the monsters who had been persecuted by mankind,” Charles rattled off.
“But what price did they have to pay?”
The young redheaded dragoline’s hand shot up immediately.
“Arabelle?”
“They all became half-man, forced to live their lives as their worst enemies-human. However, they were still given the ability to transform into the creature they were before,” Arabelle explained.
“So after they founded Pharix, new troubles arose. In the forms of the First Devils-the Firemongers, born of evil, sin, and deceit. A war between the monsters and devils soon emerged. What is it called?” Professor Milton asked, her long, silvery hair tumbling down her back.
Ruby raised her hand eagerly.
“Miss Pharix?”
“The First War, fought between the Firemongers and the monsters. The monsters one, but several other devils were born afterward. Also, that was when the caste system was created, with dragons as the leaders,” Ruby said.
“Ah, yes-the caste system of monsters! Let’s delve into that! What is the fifth rung?” called out Milton.
“Sea monsters!” yelled out Hugo.
“And what kinds of sea monsters are there?”
“Hydras!”
“Leviathan!”
“Makara!’
“Kraken!”
“All correct, and those are only a few examples,” Milton nodded. “Now what is on the fourth rung?”
A small, towheaded girl sitting near the back raised her hand shyly.
